We have some tought locals and used to be regualrs Kerry Jones finished 2nd last time. We always have 3 or 4 cars in the top 10. Damon Eller was winning the race last time when his motor blew. He began his racing career at Wythe and ran for 3 or 4 years before moving on to the Lucas Oil Series this year. I think Rambo will win, Wythe is his favorite track and he flys around there. You can't count out Brandon Kinzer either he was on Rambo bumper last time before they had the accident. Will be wild for sure!

Chris "Smokey" Madden nor Dennis "Rambo" Franklin will be at Wythe this Saturday night for The Carolina Clash event. Chris has an agreement with Hoosier Tire which will not allow him to run in Carolina Clash races which are sponsored by American Racing Tire.
Last weekend Chris was the second fastest qualifier out of 203 entries at The World 100 at the famed Eldora Speedway. Chris had some bad luck in his heat race which set him bak to 19th starting position and finished 11th when the checkers fell.
The next race Chris has on his schedule is the Ray Cook Southern National rain make-up event at Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, NC on October 3. Chris already wrapped-up The Southern National Series title by winning 5 out of 8 events. Rambo was the runner-up to Chris in the chase for The Southern Nationals.

I was at the OSAS East race at Cherokee Superspeedway on Sunday night September 2 and Chris Madden looked as if he was just playing with everybody else there. That night Chris set a new track record in qualifying, passed Rambo on the last lap of the heat race in turn 3 on the outside, led every lap of the A-main and on the last lap of the A-main he opened-up a whole straight-away lead.

Congrats to Brandon & the entire #18 team! I sure hope he would run in more Carolina Clash races next year. It would really be awesome to see Brandon on the high banks of Toccoa Motor Speedway at next years Carolina Clash race.
