Finally I got to see the race. The track looked great tonight.Very little dust and smooth as i've ever seen it. Wish it was like that every week. Congrats to Blackburn and Meadows on their wins.Hate Steve Lucas broke, he looked pretty tough.
Congrats to the Jim Holt crew on there first win in the Late Models.

Glad you got to join us Dirtguru. Yes it was a great night of racing. The temperture was perfect. Track looked awesome. I had to ask Chris Meadows in victory lane about the track and he said it was great.
Congrats to Jim Holt and the h28 team on thier win. I knew it was coming. he's been running strong all season. Congrats to all the other winners also.

2--6 Steve Lucas
3--33 Chris Meadows
4--32 Larry Blankenship
5--23 Ronnie Hoover
6--79 Roger Lucas
7--10 Ronald Blankenship
8--20 Kirk Baker
2nd Twin 25
1--33 Chris Meadows
2--54 Steve Blackburn
3--20 Kirk Baker
4--32 Larry Blankenship
5--15 Gary Mabe

Sorry but only had the top 8.
Inverted the top 8 after the 1st Twin 25.
I hope this is correct.

randy i have a question for you,why was steve starting on the 4th spot in the second 25 when he won the first and had an invert of the top eight? i was confused because you announced that it was an invert of eight.shouldnt he have started in the eight spot two rows behind.not picking on steve at all but it just was wierd to me.
and also why was the purses cut on some cars.i think the 33 of meadows was third and he was cut short at the pay window along with some others.
one other thing the track wasnt dusty on the straight away but man it sure was in turn 1 and 2,and gary east broke a panhard bar plate running into the birm in turn 3.
when they came around 2 by us it was like a rooster tail of dust up near the groove.the bottom was muddy and the middle was dry and the top was well cluttered with loose dirt.
it was a good race but i cant see the track being perfect at all.it was smoother because i saw they sheetfooted it more than usuall but the water deal still aint right.you cant expect water to soak in by just riding the top with it flowing out of a pipe, its got to be like a rainshower continuously.a flood runs over the dirt and a rain soaks in.
anyway i think we are going asphalt racing.but it was nice to see you and talk to you in the pitts, see ya dude and hope things get better but i doubt it with that same bottom denominator!

Well,rj,if the one car elects to start in the rear like the 23 car did that moves that row up , then if another car goes in the pits before the race starts that moves that row up again, right?Come on you know enough about racing to now that they just move the rows up don't you? Also why would you be picking on Blackburn ?, he don't make the calls,he just went were they told him to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know at first with everything (which in my case has all been second hand) I belived that RJ was done wrong. But the more I read its kinda making me think it could just be some sour grapes

I thought the track looked alot better than usual and made for some good racing. Congrats to the 33 and 54 cars on their wins.

look i just thought it was inconsistant on the second 25.i like steve and he is a helluva driver but noone said anything about the rows were moved and i dont blame steve a bit cause if you advance on the tracks goofup well good for him or any other driver.
and the sour grapes, its alot more than sour grapes.i just wanted to know for my own being on what was going on.i love racing and the folks i met here but some people just dont know the real deal on my dad.so with that said i will be going now and i'll see you in the uara series where it is more proffessional to race.and the officials and track owners have respect for everyone.yall racing at 311 is a joke to me especially after i have heard how the stands use to be packed and the pitts as well.and yea im sore bout the way my dad has done me but you know it aint getting any better and it wont.good luck to everyone and have a nice day.

rjweld, The 10 and the 23 didn't come out so that moved the outside row up. That started the 54 in the 2nd row. I always like to give the sponsors and talk about the drivers while I give the lineups, so I was looking at the lineups going through it. Takes me along time to do this, so I start before they hit the track. After I got finished I looked and saw the #54 car in the 2nd row not knowing the 10 and 23 were not there. We have always moved up cars when the car in front of them did not come out. And after I realized they were not there I announced it 2 times why 54 moved up. Hope this helps.
I don't know anything about the purse being cut. It says $1000 for 3rd on the website. Bobby's had a big payout all the way through the field this season. And as far as I know he's stuck to it. Probably just a rumor. You know how that goes.
I have enough to do without worrying about $$$$ if you know what I mean. LOL... Ask JHofficial how busy an announcer stays. I never have time to eat till the race is over.

Cheezyrider,
The car on the outside poll (sry not sure what number) did come out and staged on the track till just before the order to crank up the second feature. An alert official caught a small pool of oil under the car and sent him to the pits, saving this racer a powerplant.

ok randy i understand but as you know we were down in turn 2 and its hard to hear anything out of the speakers there.i guess i just didnt catch all of what was said.
and man i can tell you you are one of the best announcers i have had the pleasure to meet.and i really enjoyed working with you,but you know what went on and thats all i can say.it was a pretty good race, but i talked to a guy that was with the 33 and let me say this, they were not real happy at the payout.
well dude i'll see you again, and i sure wish things would have been different because 311 sure could be a track of significance in the world of racing.
oh yea gigi,i just wanted you to know i didnt get booted by any means.if you will ask i quit one night after mr. johns threw a temper tantrum.if i let him talk to me that way i would never get any respect from anyone.
yall have a good day now!
