NEW YORK -- Tim Donaghy started making NBA bets four years ago, and he didn't hesitate to wager on games he worked.

Speaking in code during telephone calls, he tipped off high-stakes gamblers with inside information and recommended which teams to bet on. When his picks hit, he was paid $5,000.

The stunning allegations emerged Wednesday as the disgraced former NBA referee pleaded guilty to two felony charges in a scandal that rocked the league and tarnished the integrity of the sport.

Yeah I can blame him!!!!!!!! It call having some morals!!!!! Everything in life is not about a dollar. Its more about being honest and having a little dignity!!!!!

I am just statin a fact where in life are you goin to go in you ain't makin the mightie dollar? And all he was doin was makin the dollar. Is he wrong no i don;t think so he did what he HAD to do to make the money. Money.Power.Respect. With money comes power with power comes respect . If u think differnt then u livin in your own lil world . maybe some people needa take a ride into some city's and look how things really work.

What is wrong gettin money the way you know how to . Even the quote quote bad people have morals in life. I may have smoked what lil brain i have left but even i have morals in life.But in the end money and other stuff is the key to life now day's.And i got self respect some time's.

now i do blame him for messing with a game, if he made bad calls or whatever to change the turn out. that i do blame him for and do not agree with, but the gambling part is fine with me as long as he didnt interfear with the game.

one call you never know, as sports are a momentum thing and one call could change the momentum swing. if its a close game 3 pts or even 1 pt one extra shot or one more or less fouls could change the outcome. JMO

I unno much about the whole sports scene really i was always fightin with the jocks in school so never got into basketball.baseball or football. But he has money hidden away more and likely and with the money hidden away guess what i bet he gets a GOOD LAWYER and gets off with a slap on the wrist.
