Bomber rule?

Rule states that you can't run a manual tranny, but if the car comes from the factory with manual tranny can you run it?

I was wondering the same thing about trannies. Cuz in a '75 firebird it was an option

I got a 75 Monte Carlo that we could run, it also came standerd with a manual tranny. We ran the car as a bomber for years with a manual, would like to run it now. Someone clear this up for us.

This rule was made because manual trans gives a advantage over automatic and with this, cars are more equal even if it came that way from the factory stock, but to clear this up most all 2-door cars that was a opption. They also give the car much more torch and can change ratio's quicker for a unfair advantage over auto's. So to keep everyone happy this rule was made.This my not be the answer you are looking for ,but this is why it was made to keep it equal.

we race side by side and got beat alot by auto trannys. When my brother Doug was running at Kings, he raced the 83 I think alot and won some and lost some. Terry Harris wore us out at the Brink the whole season when he ran bomber and he had a automatic. I don't think it is an advantage. You got 3000 pound cars racing 4000 pound cars, who do you think got the advantage there?

We don't need another run what u brung class, we had that in PSV8 the other year. I was just asking about the tranny deal and if we can't run it that is fine no big deal. Keep the rules like they are and u keep the car count where it is (3). We need rules like clr and the car count goes up. Just my opinion.:wtf:

you are right go by a set of rules get together with other tracks and come up with rules so you can run any track and be right

Why bother to go with what other tracks are doing at Clary's you just call and tell them that you are coming and the rules get thrown out anyways.
