Blackburn drove his regular car last night, qualifed 2nd, Broke about the second lap of the 1st race. They anounced he broke a crankshaft he was done for the night.

I myself thought it was strange that they said he broke a crank, but the crew was looking under the rear of the car and not the hood.Least the last time I looked the crank was under the hood.
But anyway congrats to Noel Tucker team and Chris Meadows team, they both were on a roll last night.

As I understand, this last Saturday night was Steve Blackburn's last race in the #10 Lovelace car. He is going back to the #54 team, which as I understand isn't a team anymore because Johnny Stovall quit. Like I said on another forum though...I've been in racing for a while and honestly speaking I didn't even know who Steve was before he got into the Lovelace car. Steve told me himself that a garage is gonna be built for him in his back yard, he got a new motor and he (Herb I'm assuming) purchased the car Steve drove last night from the Lovelaces...MINUS the motor.

I have a feeling though...everything is gonna work out for the best though...might be alot of regrets later on...but alot of THANK GODs too!!

Stovall DIDNT quit nothing!!!! Johnny finally got the honest answer that he was gonna be replaced, fired, kicked to the curb at the seasons end how ever you want to call it and replaced with Blackburn! The Lovelaces also heard about this 3rd hand and parked the 10 car untill Wray came and bought it yesterday morning less motor. Johhny was offered to run the steel block car and Steve in the super and thats were people are getting Johnny quit, when he said after all his time and work on that car there was no way he was goonna play second fiddle to anyone. Look for Johhny to be back in a RIDE real SOON

Ok, DIRT4LIFE...you wanna call down the thunder, well then, you got it! Done some research today and ya know what I'm about to say is true...you were there.

OK NOW...for 1 the Lovelaces were gonna race Saturday night WITH or WITHOUT Steve. Steve agreed to race and it was OK with the Lovelaces. Steve, well let's say with Herb's moola, had already made the deal BEFORE Saturday night that he was gonna buy the #10 car WITHOUT the motor...besides Steve told me himself that he already had his BIG motor in for the #54 and the owners were gonna build him a nice garage out back behind his house so he can spend more time with his kid and he also said that John had told him that if the motor went one more time they were through for the year because he wasn't putting anymore money into racing...come to find out...THAT IS NOT WHAT THE LOVELACES SAID...AT ALL! ANYBODY WILLTELL YOU THAT THE LOVELACES ARE NOT HURTING FOR MONEY! Did Steve and the Lovelaces part on bad terms? HEHEHE...no they didn't...Steve agreed to drive for the Lovelaces for 2 years...which he did not do...but believe me...EVERYBODY involved is perfectly HAPPY with Steve's decision to move on over to the #54. Ok, ya stated that I called the Lovelaces 2 or 3 times on Friday...WRONG!!! As soon as I heard about Steve having already made the decision to move to the #54, I called Suzie myself and told her what I heard and talked to her about several things...hell, I told her about Steve leaving BEFORE Steve ever told the Lovelaces...of course according to Steve the Lovelaces would be the first to know...ummm NOT! And me and my boyfriend following the Lovelaces around Saturday night...hmmm...DIRT4LIFE...let's back up and regroup here...me and my boyfriend were at that Lovelace's pit and hauler EVERY race at 311 last year and at EVERY race we have attended this year...so, what's out of the ordinary there? And no sir-re...never have I ever heard of Steve Blackburn BEFORE he ever sat his happybutt down in the Lovelace car...Steve told me Saturday night that he won 100 races with Herb...well, what I do know is that last year, Steve won 21 in his first year with the Lovelaces...hmmmm! Now, I've heard of the Lovelaces for years!!!

Now, why are ya calling my boyfriend Marvin when you know dayum good and well his name is Merlin? Ok now... oh yeah DIRT4LIFE...I'm typing this all really slow so you can understand it when you read it, OK? Wanna know about Merlin? Yup, he has raced on asphalt and was very successful in it...then he went to dirt...very successful in it too and LOVED IT!!! 14th in the NATION in NASCAR points at NASCAR sanctioned tracks out west...I have articles here written about him from NASCAR...I have articles from papers and programs like you wouldn't believe about his ability to race. He has raced with people like Clint Bowyer, Jamie McMurry and Carl Edwards...has Merlin ever raced anything like a Super Late Model...YUP...sure has...more horsepower actually...think he can race that Super here? Yup...think he can win...YUP!!! Merlin has been beat by these guys before and he has beat them too...oh yeah by the way...Clint Bowyer...he had never raced a Super Late Model, he was in the same division as Merlin...but never in a Super Late Model till he came out here and who did he walk the dog on? HEHEHE...THIS IS GONNA BY FUNNY...STEVE BLACKBURN!!! HA!

I don't expect you to believe that Merlin is a good racer...that can be proved...he has built some pretty powerful motors too...let me tell you something...I went out west with him and fans and race teams came running from every where when they found out he was there...the race track was announcing he was there...people were begging him to come back and race...they started telling me stories about him racing...all I gotta say is...the man has balls. There are people that are waiting right now out west to be sponsors for him if he wanted to go back out west.

Now, I've supported racing...I've supported teams and I've supported race tracks...I LOVE DIRT TRACK RACING!!! I'm with Merlin and I'm gonna do everything I can to bring as many sponsors to the team that puts him in a car or in our own car for next year. I will work my happyazz off to make that team a POWERHOUSE in sponsors...Merlin will take care of the driving. Have I talked to the Lovelaces about putting Merlin in the car? Yes, I have and I also told them that REGARDLESS WHO they put in that car, I would do anything I can to help them. The Lovelaces have been very good to me and has cared for me as a friend as well as they have for Merlin. MYSELF AND MERLIN RESPECT ANY DECISION THAT THE LOVELACES MAKE and we will SUPPORT them in that decision. And one more thing...you know the Lovelaces DIRT4LIFE...if they didn't like me or Merlin...that info wouldn't come from you...THEY GOT THE BALLS TO TELL ME THAT!

So, now DIRT4LIFE...consider yourself educated...and here you were thinking I looked pathetic...of if only you knew buckaroo!

P.S.S. JH - I didn't mean that Johnny Stovall quit...what I was told by Johnny himself was when he was told that Steve was gonna come over, Johnny basically told them to shove it! Can't say that I blame him either. Johnny said he was gonna go buy another car this weekend...HE'LL BE BACK!

everytime i have ever watch blackburn race, the man is assume with a race car, watched him a dublin 1st race this year drive the wheels off till had trouble, and watched him win at clarys one time, i dont know much about all this drama or whatever but i have heard about johny and kelly moore looking at a car together, but that was told to me from a friend down at clarys, dont hold me to it, far as the track record at wayne county, he still holds it, i think whaley came close, could be wrong, but i know everytime steve was there, he was hard to beat!

I agree Blackburn is good driver and an awesome person. A lot of Steve's good fortune is being hooked up with the Rumley's and Rocket Chassis, he's come a long way since the days me and him raced at Friendship. Steve is very smart on setups and has to have a ton of time invested in studying setups as far as adjustments and how to make the cars faster. Steve has helped me with shocks and setup in the past at 311 when I was struggling with the new car blues, and I appreciatte it. Like I said Steve and his dad have alway's been great to me and I consider both of them a friend to me.

I do remember that.....Morgan ( I believe it was ) had the checkered roof, I can't remember what his # was for anything.... and Steve had the black # 6.
Marty Bullions and Neil Morgan dominated that class and Steve was an up and coming driver. I do remember Morgan and Blackburn getting into an argument because they wrecked each other on the race track after Steve had been in the class for a little bit and became Morgan's competition..... then Neil went onto LM's and soon after Steve.

Aha.. the old days.... (BTW, this was all at 311)
