I won't be able to get this on the website until late tonight or tomorrow so I am posting it here so everyone can get a look.. Again I am only the WEBMASTER for FMS and any questions need to be directed to French Grimes and NOT THIS SITE


All classes will run.

Fork Mountain Raceway wants to support local racing. One of the issues this year has been the reluctance of some cars to have their engines sealed before competing. We have listened to competitors who want to compete with less stringent engine tech procedures. A strong effort has been made to find a balance of rules that will attract cars to the track and be enforceable. After considerable thought we have reduced the rules to ones that matter the most and can be teched after the race if necessary. All of the most important rules remain in place. Starting August 25th Cars that are not teched, may compete subject to a protest procedure. All sealed engines will not be subject to protest. We are inviting the All American cars that wish to race to contact us prior to the August 25th race. We plan to have a race for the All American cars if there is interest.

Simplified rules in place for the August 25th race.



Car Rules: U-Car This is a totally stock class NO changes except for safety.

1: 1980 or later front wheel drive only,

2: Completely stock, as was sold: NO aftermarket or homemade parts.

3: Stock fuel injection or carburetor system for make and model. No forced induction systems. Factory air induction w/ NO modifications.

4: All belts and pumps must be in place and operational. Fuel cell strongly recommended, gasoline only, NO additives.

5: OEM car tires & wheels ( 185x65x14 ) or ( Ford Escort GT 195x 60x 15)

6: NO altering of suspension, mounts, shocks, springs. Full roll cage: Bars attached by pair of 3x3 x ¼ plates @ each mount.

8: In any question of legality of entry, competitor must provide proof of originality.

All American Rules:

1: Full size American made cars. Rear wheel drive only. Completely stock body & bumpers.

2: Stock OEM parts: transmission, rear, steering, brakes, shocks, suspension,

3: 7 Steel wheels. DOT street tires all tires subject to approval.

4: Completely stock engine w/ factory 2bbl. carb and unmodified cast iron manifold.



Pure Stock Car Rules:

1: Full size American made cars. Rear wheel drive only. Stock type steel body. Engine in stock location. Max. 5 rear spoiler.

2: OEM transmission. Steel bell hsg. or 1/4" steel scatter shield. Clutch: Single disc only.

3: Stock: Steering, brakes, suspension components in stock location, in both front and rear.

4: 8 Steel wheels. 3400# after race w/ driver.

Pure Stock Engine Rules:

1: Block & Heads, Stock OEM GM 350 passenger car Max 360 c.u. : Max.C.R. 10.5 to 1 Tolerance: .3

2: Performer 2101 or stock manifold. Carb: stock Holley 350 cfm #7448 or stock OEM Rochester 2 bbl. gas only.

3: Flat tappets. 3/8 stud mount ball & socket rockers only. NO stud girdles. Max.spring pressure @ seat 120#,

4: OEM style ignition. No after market ignition boxes.



Super Street Car rules:

1: Full size American made cars. Rear wheel drive only. Stock appearing body.

Super Street Engine Rules:

1: Blocks, GM 350 passenger car V-8, NO aftermarket or bow tie blocks. Max C.I. 365, Max.C.R. 11.5 to 1 Tolerance: .3

2: OEM passenger car heads may be ported. Bow Tie heads may not be ported.

3: Flat tappets. Max.spring pressure @ seat 130#

4: Stock bore 600cfm 1850 Holley or 600 cfm 510-0-4776C Or 2bbl. gas only



Mini Stock Engine Rules:

1: 1 lb. per c.c. Minimum wt. 2000 lbs. after race w/ driver

2: Blocks, 4 cylinder only, OEM block, correct for car model. NO aftermarket heads

3: Holley 350 cfm # 7448, 500 cfm Holley or stock carb gasoline only.

Mini Stock Car Rules:

1: Rear wheel drive only. Max. wheel base 104

2: Stock chassis. Full stock floor pan and firewall. NO tube frames. Engine in stock location.

3: Stock suspension components in stock location, in both front and rear.
