Kinda suprised, last two Super Series shows he has been a non-factor. With his uncle Bobby owning a top teir SLM team and his dad for guidance I really expected to see more. I read an article on Austin Dillion, His grandaddy gave instructions to his team to put him in a mid pack car. The idea was he would have to earn a win. If you have seen Austin, he is "using" his car up every race. If Richard gave Austin a motor like Clint Boyer had I think 311 would need a much stronger fence. But I just wonder whats the deal with Justin?

He has raced a bunch at Dublin this year and runs about like he did at 311

Justin did alright, but look like with all the money that they should have, with u know his dad, they should have a better motor, and car, and can run better at the top.

im sure he has the motor and equipment needed, guess its lack of dirt experience or maybe he cant hang with the dirt drivers

maybe they're just trying to get him some SLM seat time and determine if it's what he relly wants to do before they go spending tons of money to get the best of the best chassis, engine, and such........

The car is one of EPJ's last year cars.

You can have all of the money in the world, it still takes a little bit of talent to drive it though.

Exactly, you can have the best of the best but it want go to the front by its self without a wheel man.JMO

I've seen him run pavement late models at Caraway, and he looked alright. Maybe he doesn't have a feel for the dirt car yet.

Just read off the wire, Justin will be at Indy this week in Mikey's truck. Waltrip is Obviously bucking the current wisdom of most Nascar owners that sucessful dirt drivers make good pavement drivers.

i can definetly back up what bigcaddy says..heard it straight from earls mouth..

if running a super was so easy everyone would be doing it...give him some time, he'll get there

last time at dublin we qualified 3rd....didn't race too good, missed the set-up, but then again its all part of the learning curve

Didn't mean to sound down on Justin in my orginal post, just was surprised, though he would get better support. I do respect what he is doing, At his age he should be in a Bush ride and or a rookie in the Cup. However he hasn't showed what it takes on the track. It would be a great story if he developed the skills from dirt SLM and made a name for himself. I believe there is no better trainning grounds.

He did, but trailed the field most of the race. He was the 1st to get a lucky dog pass early in the race but it didnt help much. He finished 27th out or 36 (5 car's DNF).
Some of the running cars he beat were banged up.

Justin --- Keep running the SLM, best chance you got to learn what it gonna take to run in the big show.
