I'm just wondering when the Mason's ran the track several years ago did everyone fuss like they do now ???? I've become pretty content that French is so preoccupied with his business and the VSS Sprint Series that things will probably never be the same anymore......Like one of his drivers said....the only way that FMR would ever run on Fridays is that the government take Saturdays off the calendar......Hey if he is happy with the amount of cars and the 100-150 people that come to watch I'm glad for him.....I still will attend the races at the track I have ALWAYS attend the past 25-30 years and soon we will have another track that will be up and running on Friday nights.....Everyone has their own opinion on how they fill and although I may not like it you have to respect them for it......Things come and things go.....thats life......the thing you have to realize we all have choices where we watch a race or where we race.......To each his own.......its just time to realize FMR will never be the way OLR ever was......Let it go......just like alot of drivers are doing by going to new tracks to race.

It was well spoken . But if your gonna go just go and leave the people that try to support FMR alone. Its like your asking people to feel sorry for you because something has changed in your life. Who cares who owned the track in the past ,today is reality and you need to leave 1949 behind. I know you have a tough job getting up everyday thinking of new ways to bash FMR , but Im sure since your leaving soon we wont have to worry about your negative attitude much longer ! By the way that was just wrong what you did to Durtyjohnny35 now I know you have zero integrety. Thank you for your last post on this FMR forum hopefully soon youll be critizing another track that doesnt pamper to your every need.

Bottom Dweller......I also know you are another one of Frenchs puppets on a stick when it comes to this forum........usually its the outsiders(Glen Allen,Va) like yourself that start more fussing like you just did ........I know you have on your profile that FCS is your favorite track and that you are a racer.....funny thing is I ask the owner and new promoter about you and neither say they have NEVER heard of you.......No one is BASHING this track......we have all said we love the track.....if we didn't care about it so much we wouldn't be concerned.....take all of your competition and the 100-150 fans and see how long you survive...thats reality.....Most track operators are willing to bend over backwards for their fans, you even had one make a comment on one of the other posts.....French has proven his point which division he cares mostly about......This is a public forum and as long as we stay within Racejunkie's rules we can post what we want. Also....Your screen name on here fits you perfectly Bottom Dweller....you really do seem like a real low life.

You are very correct in saying that French has proven which classes he supports, because he said from the very beginning that he would support the classes that support the track. I think the U-Cars have went all out to support the track with usually 16 car fields every race, and yes they get paid a full field payout because they are a full field wouldn't you say? You can't support a class that isn't there, but any class bringin in 12 to 15 cars would be supported.. If any of you have never actually talked to French in person, you really should, he's open and honest and unlike past promoters he doesn't give you alot of hype about what might happen, he's straight up with you, and will work with anyone. Just as he told me concerning the late model division, they come to race and purse will depend on car count, I can't ask any more of him than that.

Hey Fireball......what does he pay the 4 Late Models that have been showing up ? What would he pay a 10 car field and how much does it go up for a 15 car field ? Does he use this Race Saver payout on all division guaranteeing the last place car in all divisions half of what the winners purse is ? I'm curious on how that works....... Some of tracks have this info on the websites.......I have never seen any of the payout schedules for any divisions listed on the FMR website......maybe you might know this info since you seem very close to French. Please let us know.

I was given a copy of the sliding pay scale by the PR guy at the track, and it's broken down starting with a 4 car field and in increments of 4 cars each way. I will get you a copy of the payout scale if you'd like?

Hey FACE... I think you are out of control with your posts. Last week you stepped over the line with me when you decided to make public my real name. That was supposed to be some big deal in your mind. Hell, it's right there in my info. Big deal, but I do know how it was intended. You just seem to feel like getting personal, and calling people names is Ok I feel you are not using this board in the spirit it was intended. I may very well be wrong, but I signed up on LRC to have race discussions, and get info. Not real interested in reading your personal insults, and name calling, because someone happens to disagree with you. Differences are good, and debates are good, but just feel you are going too far!

I am from the Pittsburgh, Pa. area. I have only been here for two years. I attended the same dirt tracks on a weekly basis for 25 years. I have been to some dirt tracks in this area, and I enjoyed all of them. I do not try to tell people how to run their tracks on the Internet. I just simply return or not. So far I have attended these tracks:
311,Wythe,Fayetteville,Lowes dirt,Carolina,(Fork Mountain,Oak Level),Antioch,cherokee, and Ace(Fridays till RTR opens)

I disagree. It must be working the way the man who owns and runs the track wants it to. he opens the gates and races when he wants. I dont see him or anyone with him on here bitching!!! So I'd say its is and if he's happy it doesnt matter what you or me or anyone else has to say about.

His track, his way. Dont like it dont go. But everyone who on here has done nothing but bitch, has had plenty of time and say so. Its doesnt appear its gonna change. So that leaves you three choices and they all involve SHUT UP ENOUGH ALL READY

First Choice: Close your mouth and except it for what it is and continue going to FMR

Second Choice: Close your mouth and go somewhere else.

Third Choice: Close your mouth and buy or build your own track and show French how to do it.

Either choice you make, I dont care, just SHUT UP Enough is enough!!!!!

It's really not that big a deal that people know who you are. Doesn't change
anything. When you choose to talk all the smack, the site rules says you
should leave your real name anyways. Kinda wish we knew who everyone
was. That would cut down on a lot of the bickering. I'll start. I'm Doug Hall, I
drove the #79 U-car last year, and the #64 All American 2 years prior. I
don't race there this year because I can't make Saturdays...

I agree with you about real names, but it won't happen. Too many people would rather use a screen name, or hide behind bogus bio info. But the site is here to post your thoughts, and opinions, and talk about racing first, and foremost. I'm sure if you read the posts (FIRST TIME VISITOR) you know who I am. Durty is a nickname I picked up in south Fla. Just couldn't work on anything without getting "durty"

JH being you highlighted my post I'm taking it that you are referring to me. For your info I was not bitching, I made the comment that this has just turned into one big bitch forum period. I hate it has come to this. And you are right on one thing if everybody is happy with car counts and the way things are, no problem here. I came up to run in June had a engine problem and was thinking about coming back. So before you get on here and tell someone to shut up I think you better go back and read some of your posts before and do a little shutting up yourself. That's what's wrong on here, it's a one way street if someone comes on here and is not happy with the way things are and gives their opinion or try to discuss suggestions to improve things they are told to shut up or go to ____. And if you was not referring to me then disregard all this. If you was I didn't call your name in my post so back out of my crap.

The post was not only intended for you, but me and everyone else who has spoken on this subject. All the yelling and name calling and bashing is obivousley having no effect on French. So whats the point of contining? All I have ever said about anythiing concerning FMR and I will say it again, "Its his track" So if yo dont like it leave. Period!!!! Hes not gonna change so anything thing said on here constructive or otherwise will have no effect on what he does. So whats the point. Its as simple as I said you have one of three choices!!!!

Thats why I started this post......I'm letting it go......If somehow they have found some magical way to run the track and be happy with the 100 or so fans and its enough to keep it going I'm happy for them.....but alot of us on here brought up very good thoughts which I guess were not thought much of by FMR....I know i'm only a fan and not a driver or owner....but if I owned ANY type of business I'd want to know what my customer base felt and value their thoughts how to make it better.....but basically you are correct with your last post JH...... either LET IT GO or SUPPORT it.
