Maybe things just looked better thru my 4 dollar goggles I picked up at Lowes for my daughter and myself. Maybe it was the 40+ late models in the pits and a perfect Saturday for racing.
But the track wasn't half bad, sure it was dusty, but I didn't need a snorkel to breathe.. Much improved over last Super Series visit.
As far as the track goes, my only minor complaint was the narrow inside grove. I believe the tight racing quarters as a result caused a lot of the yellow flags. But I don't blame 311, tight groves happen in dirt track racing.
I was warned about a change in officials might cause some problems. But compared to the last race, there was much improvement. Two minor gripe's, a faster push truck or separate the tow truck, one for 3 and 4 , the other down 1 and 2, Most yellows were single truck affairs.
The second problem I see a lot in LM racing. * never pull into the pits, stop on track cause a yellow, fix problem - change tire, tag field, no laps down.
I saw the need of a strong promoter having a talk with a few of the drivers,
Explaining the value of the entertainment dollar and how it equates to happy fans paying 20 buck each to watch.
Yea I will be back, had me at the large field of late models
