Really concerned that $30 a ticket for the two big shows at Clarys may keep the diehard Clarys Fans away! Gas prices are still between $2.80-$3 a gallon. I mean yes Clarys will have a lot of out-of-towners come in and but tickets, but what about the fans the supported Clarys all season that can't afford $30 each? Why not $22 or $25? I'll be there but I'm sure we will not see alot of the faces we see week to week!

I agree, I'd gladly pay $30 to get into the pits, but $40 for the pits and $30 for the grandstands is just crazy. I can see going up on the pits admission, because they're going to have a great field of cars, but cut the local guys in the grandstands a break. Its hard enough to pay $30 for the grandstands once, much less two weeks in a row. But any, I can cry all I want, when it comes down to it, I'll most likely still dish out the $40 and be sitting in the pits with you guys:3Deal: It won't be the first $40 that I've :pee: away.:VeryHappy

I agree about the $30 and $40 prices...It will be an awesome show...But I have heard alot of the guys say they wouldnt pay extra pit fee's if the payout wasnt increased for the support classes..And the people I tell about it change their facial expressions when I mention ticket prices!! We(Stock 8's) and the SS4's have been averaging 12-15 cars...Would love to see some extra $$$ on down the line and not just for the 1st 3 cars...We race with what we have and it costs no matter what..

Most of the fans who will be there and remmber fans pay the bills for everyone (track and racers) will be there to see slm's. Iknow for a regular 15 or 20 dollar show I would be upset if there were only a few (under 10) cars in each class along with 10-15 late models. But on the 15th and 22 aslong as there are over 40 top slm teams, I could care usless how many cars are in the other classes. For those complaining about the thirty dollars, if it takes food off your familys table then it shouldnt be a decison to make STAY HOME. Iam thinking that my fear (well also a hope) there is not gonna be enough seats in the grandstands. I cant remmber when the last time there was a track anywhere near eastern nc trying to put on a show like this to attract the top slm's in the east coast to attend. i will gladly pay my 90 bucks ( wife myself and child) (oh change that 60 bucks the 11yr old is free). Theres another plus in the tracks favor childern ubder 12 free. Now some tracks let kids in free, But fms is the only other track that I know that dont go up on the kids rates for there special shows. i will pay 20 bucks for the clash race there sat night, well as long as my gailbladder surgery goes well thursday morning, for a show only paying $4000 (clarys 10000). There is a price that has to be paid to payout such a huge purse (track shouldnt pay that whole expense). i for one will gladly hand over my 30 to pay for my chance to see a great race. Ten more dollars than a regular show for the chance to hopefully see one of the best races anywere in the county this year is not a huge deal, if it is maybe the folks who are struggling with it should apply that money somewhere else were it could be used more wisely.

Hey Brad - I hope you decide to come out and race on the 15th, its always good to see you when I come to Clary's. And you have such good taste in decals!

I know the big fan draw, especially for a $10,000 to win SLM race, is the SLMs. I hope a lot of them show up for the event. But I, personally, also like watching the support divisions and I hope that the drivers in those divisions show up as well. It seems like there are more and more cars in the support divisions showing up every week (if my math is correct, last week there were 20 SLMs and 93 cars from the support divisions). It would be ashame if the increase in the pit admission would cause this trend to be reversed.

I'm no promoter or money genius, but maybe a modest increase ($20-$30) per position, especially in the lower end of the purses, for the support divisions may make the increased pit admission seem more reasonable. Just a thought from someone who doesn't really know anything! :confuzeld

Your opinion is respected, jhofficial, concerning the late model show. However, rememberthat there will only be two "big shows". Make your racers that have supported the track all year angry by totally disregarding thier presents and you won't have them in the future. I don't think any track can sustain attendance with just "late models". Judging from fan reaction in the grandstands, they also enjoy "suppport class" racing. I know I have heard "cheers and jeers" from the grandstands following the "support class" races. Yes, the late models are good, but "one monkey doesn't make the show". I have enjoyed racing at Clarys' this year, but I also agree that the "support Classes" need a little more attention.

If Clary's would have a had a regular race on the 2 nights of the big money races and the 2 nights they took off it would have cost $60.00 total for one person to go.

So two big races with $30.00 admission is no different since they took 2 weeks off

They have to make up some kind of money to get back for the 10,000 Late model show. Its not to bad if you think about it because you have 2 weeks to save up the $$. Hope to see some of the SLM Big Dogs there to put on a show.

it would be nice if they would take that ten grand and give the support divisions a big money race. i know that they would get a lot of local cars then.

chance at the big money. Their fans come week after week to watch the shows that they put on, and it is really not fair to just give the SLM a chance at the big money - never has been. Seems like the SLM's are the only ones that seem to be important, and this just isn't so. Maybe things will change. In fairness, I hope so.

All the "support class" cars are welcome to come to CLR that night. They will be running the ps4,ss4,psv-8,t&l,TRAIN RACE,DEMO DERBY,ladies v-8 race, ladies 4 race.It should be a great night for people who can't go to Clary's that night.

Looking at CLR's schedule on their website, County Line is off that night(15th)! Maybe ya'll should come to Clarys. All classes are important, but its the SLM that draws the crowd. You won't see a van full of people drive 3 hours to see support classes run, unless its the only race track open that night. I agree Clarys should put up the x-tra money for the support classes the deserve it, but the SLM are what gets most of the fans attention fron different tracks and states!

Sorry,i was talking about OCT 22nd,not OCT 15th! We were planning to bring both Camaros on the 15th,but not for the normal purse.$40.00 times 10 plus racing fuel, fuel for the trucks, etc, not worth it for the car owner.I will be there to watch.Should be a great race!!

Ok Iam back lol. I dont want anyone to missunderstand what iam saying. I resect the supporting classes, I enjoy wacthing, would be a very boring night watching 15 lm q and race and go home would take about a hour and be done lol But these two nights hopefully there will be enough slm that I dont care how many support classes show. I like prince idea take a night off sit in the stands with the rest of us watch a great race. I see on here everyone saying when are they gonna run big races for the support class, well i dont know everything( some people on here would say I think otherwise lol) but does clarys not a pay a huge amount more than any track around in every class??? So Iam thinking all those guys and girls have had about 20 or so big races already this year

I'd like to see some of the CLR cars at Clarys! I have heard all season how the only 4 cylinders from CLR are diehard drivers enought to go to Clarys on a CLR night off. Would love some v8 cars from there show up for a change!:horse2

we went to Clary's some last year, went to WCS some this year.as far as being diehard enough, you can ask anybody that knows us,we are diehard racers.we run 2 cars every saturday night,3 cars when the late models run.thats with just 2 people doing most of the work.but like i said before,we were planning on bring the 07 and L2 on the 15th,but not for the regular purse. It's just not worth it.I will be there to watch a great late model race!!

If you look at Clarys purse, they have a higher purse than all the other tracks, if enough cars show up the purse goes up! People that are saying they won't run for a regular purse are the ones that will keep the car count down and the purse at the regular amount!

I don't know where the rumor that Clary's was buying it (SNS) and turning it dirt started, but there is no truth to the part that Monk or JC are interested in purchasing it......heck, there's more than enough to do with the one we have

Yes, I'd have to agree. Ithink they should pay to the other classes instead of always to the SLM's Don't get me wrong, that's what i'm going to see. That's going to be a good show! But 40.00 bucks is alot for a dirt track race. I think they hould reconsider .
