Former Grand National Driver Bobby Johns purchased The New 311 Speedway today. Bobby is planning on running the track several more weeks this year; weather permitting. Current plans have the track open through October with a big weekend scheduled for October 21st and 22nd the same weekend as the NASCAR race at Martinsville. Details are still being worked out to plan events for the different racing divisions at 311 over the next few weeks. Mr. Johns has a long history of racing and is very excited about future racing at The New 311 Speedway. He is looking forward to working with all of the drivers and meeting the fans in the coming weeks. He will be at the drivers meeting this coming week to meet all of the drivers.
