I could have been misinformed but I heard a couple drivers did not get paid Friday.
Any truth to this or just the normal Dublin rumor?:blue14:

Didn't he run the Late Model and Super Late Model Class? If so it could have been the lower finish that he had in the other class..

They have him finishing 13th out of 14 cars in LM which pays $50 why would they cut that $50 that want make them or break them i dont think. i think they would be going for that $4,000 payday and that is probably what purse this thread is being referred to.

Yea you have a point but it would seem there would be more stink over it if in deed he was not paid.. I know If I was not paid I would be raising hell and telling everyone..:06Cool: But that's me..

Does David Taylor ever pay himself when he wins? Maybe thats why his bro-inlaw let him jump the start, that way they knew they wouldnt have to pay that 4k

Always make sure the bills are paid including the drivers. Even if I went home broke that night, I would rest better knowing my drivers got paid. JMO

well maybe he is keeping it quiet and not trying to make dms look bad and bring it out for the public to get involved since this matter is btwn dms and the partys involved and not the people on the forums. plus he has a little something to do with the track as far as fuel and points fund money that i know of so who knows.:Kill1:

When the green came out and #14 took that 2-3 car length lead from the outside i said dang he got a good start. LOL didnt know he was kin to one of the officials but i dont think that had anything to do with his win. his car was running good and no one could even put much pressure on him the whole race and what about 311 who helped him there? he is just found the right setup for the past 2 races. :Hide:

Yea the last thing Dublin needs is more negative publicity.. They already are beginning not to pay their bills. Wonder how many bounced checks will be wrote this year.? :dance_guy:

Sure would be nice to know from some folks down that way that know for sure. Either way good or bad some kind of reply. If its true then those that race down there have the right to know. If its not true then these rumors need to be put to rest and called out for the lies that they are!

Either way A truthfull answer is the only way to go

Can't people just let the man have his glory. I don't care whose family was where the fact is David Taylor had a good run and he deserved his win. As far as who got paid and who didn't the way I see it is if you ain't directly involved then it ain't any of your buisness.

After the end of last season and after the points banquet for DMS it was brought to the attention of the forums by dean bowen the slm champion that he was not paid his championship money, this has been settled and everyone has moved on and now he is leading the points there again this year. cant believe you missed this thread RaceJunkie whats the deal you should be on top of this stuff LOL J/K man. or did you just forget. im thinking this is what he is talking about

It is possible that David Taylor told Dublin to pay him when they have it.............This has been done in the past by David himself, the Shuffields and Chuck Smith.................... So it very well could have been an agreement between Taylor and DMS....................:icon_blahblah:

U can be sure that if it is true that David did not get paid everyone that races weekly at Dublin knows it. However David Taylor has been a long time supporter of this track and probaly knows he will get his money if anyone does and does not want any bad publicity for the track.

This is my thing- after the ordeal with the points winner last year and now this---is someone mismanaging money or what's going on. There's no sense in the crap that's going on at this speedway. There's no sense in writing bad checks and being behind on other bills. I'm sure that's why they decided to cancel the race the weekend before(even though they say it's for weather reasons). They knew they didn't have the money to pay the purse for the open wheel race. This is just my new 2 cents not that it matters much.

07-10-2007, 12:35 PM
Yea b/c all drivers will not go for that bs and take IOU's, i mean its like a bill thats due its got to be paid and i bet you they dont and want accept an IOU :18lol:

DIRT_TRACKER123

The whole reason why many of the racers that come in that aren't weekly races at dublin would be b/c the big person. They will mess with the wrong person one of these days and there's going to be legal action taken.

If this rumor is true, what would have happened had someone other than David Taylor won that night? How would the track have paid that driver? Would they have had other drivers there willing to not get paid or paid at a later date?

Either way, it is not a good thing for the track. Someone from the track needs to explain this and the reasons behind doing it. I am sure that the thought of not getting paid after a race would be more than enough to keep cars away.

Why doesn't the track have any kind of reply on this topic? Why wouldn't someone reply and put an end to this thread?

Ahhhhhh, been biding my time patiently and "in the loop" since I heard about it at lunchtime Saturday. If he gets paid by the end of the week, it ain't a story - that's just an agreement between them. If David's not fully satisfied, that's another matter.

David should've gotten the rest of his money by the time you read this.

And to show ya what a guy he is, he wasn't gonna pitch a fit and not send his tires/fuel trailer down there tonight > was gonna send 'em anyway to keep from screwin' over the racers.
