I didn't tink the track was good at all!!

Not mention the dust.

Looked like a train race to me.

Not mention the dust.

Looked like a train race to me.

Lets see the winner started 3rd. Kent Wright started 12th no one in front of him fell out untll he had moved up and he finshed 3rd. JC started on the pole and finshed 4th. Jonnhy Stovall only finshed 6th but went to the back on lap two and raced back up with all the cars still running. I will have to find the qualifying sheets but I belive Chrigger started around 5th and finshed 2nd. So I guess if you only watch the front two cars you can miss some of the passing. Looked far from a train race to me. As for the dust, its a dirt track and I will take some dust to get two grooves of smooth compacted racing.

You know there are plenty of dry slick one groove tracks up north or there is always asphalt if you dont wanna get dirty. Last night at 1:45 am I spent the best 10 dollars I have all year, when I had to stop an wash my car, cause I knew I had just seen a heck of a race.

Track was in very good shape last not. Glad to see surface good and smooth makes for good racing. And there will always be some dust hell you are racing on dirt what do expect ?

we will disagree on this opinion!
all the fans in our section that have been to every race this year felt that the track conditions were the best they have been this year!
there was a couple sitting next to us that is new to dirt racing and they said they would defiantly be back! they loved it!

there was side by side action in every class!
20 & 01 in ministock ran side by side for several laps! (congrats to red dust)
the 7 and the 11sr in super street ran side by side for several laps!
the 69 got under the b1 several times - - these are just a few examples the some of the great racing for the lead... not to mention the action back in the pack in each class!

there is no way last night could be considered a train race! we attend races at several tracks in several states each year and last night was comparable to the best we have seen - - it did get a little dusty, but it is a dirt track! you have to expect alittle dust! small price to pay for great racing action!

:i_dont_believ_it:. First off the track was in excellent shape last night. Second, if u cant stand the dust go to an asphalt track then. And third, there was no train race. Plenty of passing all night. So next time you dont want to get dirty, stay at home. :Elvis_NBS:

:10Cry: like i said a fine job done by JC, Dwayne Harding, and not to forget JC's little Taco bell worker. LOL. they all did a damn good job on the track. the old saying is if you can,t take the dirt then stay at home on the porch and let the big doggs handle it.:smiley_880:

Now it is time for me to give you my" REAL OPINION".I posted early today just to see how many of you actually read the postings.I am thankful to have a dirt track right at my backdoor, and for all those drivers, whether local or out of town who put on a show at Clarys ,or any other track for that matter.

I was glad to see that the motor grader did not have to come out ,which means the track was "OBVIOUSLY IN GOOD SHAPE "

I am a die hard race fan just like all of you.

It doesn't take long to scan the forum to see how many read and post here. I'm new here and it's obvious to me that this thread seems to be the most active. There are always more people active in this thread than any of the others. At least I think that's the case.

Although last night was the first I'd ever seen a dirt race, I was completely impressed with the track. I thought they'd be running some type of contraption over it after every race. I was glad to see 2 (and in a few cases 3) wide runs. Good stuff.

AGAIN THANKS TO THE PROMOTORS AND CREW.......:thumb: BUDDYISLESFLYING11SS :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Dwayne and JC worked really hard to get the track into shape for the race Saturday.....they got a pile of rain Wednesday and Thursday and weren't able to work on it those two days(and the rain really didn't help the track alot becaue it was sealed)......I do know it was a little dusty by some standards, but JC did not want to put too much water down because the track still needs to be packed a lot more and he was scared too much water would lead to holes......

I will have to say the racing surface was the best it has been in all year..........But I am still spitting out dust :icon_bleah: :icon_bleah: The racing was good in all of the classes. What a finish in the Stock 4's.

Dust is just a little sacrifice for smoothness and wideness.

But Charlie do we even have a Stock 4 class?:shakin1:

when i come up there and race with my bomber i wanna slick track cause when i roll in my dads car at any other track its hard and bumpy and ALOT of holes. so i think that Clary's crew did a GREAT job on the track and hope it stays like that.

Based on what I saw, the dirt action is definitely more exciting. There's something to be said about the subtle bumps and positioning through the turns on asphalt, and I still respect what it takes to get that done, but man, I don't see how anyone could drive one of those SLMs on dirt behind the leaders. I could barely keep my eyes on the race in the stands. You know those cars a few positions back are seeing hell down there.

I believe that was the 07 that ran a few laps with Buddy Sr., and I loved it. We had a little trouble and finished third. The 7 finished second. Good to see Dans car running and handling good. Third is not bad considering the level of competition at Clarys.
