The Bureau County Speedway Board of directors has announced that the Late Model payout will be decreased as of 6/19/07. The new payout will take effect on the next race date of 6/22/07 (this week).
A statement from the Board:
We had increased the Late Model payout the begining of June in anticipation of drawing more drivers and fans to our track, the drivers draw the fans.
We have optimistically continued with the increased payout for as long as possible, unfortunately; we have not had the response necessary to sustain the higher payout in this class.
If we were to continue with the increased Late Model payout, it would be to the financial detriment of Bureau County Speedway as a whole. This decisioin is in the best interest of the Speedway's future.
Unfortunately, if we can not get the cars and fans needed to support the Late Models, we will regretfully have to eliminate the class from our program.
The following is the payout for Late Models starting on 6/22/07:
1st... .800
2nd....600
3rd....450
4th...325
5th... 275
6th... 250
7th... 200
8th... 150
9th... 125
10th... 115
11th on back... 100
