With the tracks history of time management, are they gonna run all of the classes. With the potential of 40 or more late models, this could make for a later night than normal. :check_flag2:

If they run all of the other classes they should heat race them all or line them up by current points.

TIME TRIALS STINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I understand, ALL SUPPORT CLASSES line up will be either the way they finished this past week or by how the quailifed. New cars have to start in the rear, line up will be adjusted if any cars from last week don't come this Friday.

Every race this year all classes have qualified except when the they had the clash race then we started the way we qualified the week before. this week will be the same, all classes will race but will start how we qualified last week, only class qualifying will be slm.

The late models and super late models are the only two that will qualify.

If this lineup is right i cant believe they are cutting our laps to, i mean i was ok with starting how we did last week but dang cut our laps also. I mean im glad they are coming and im a big fan of the big latemodel races and like to travel to diff tracks to watch them but they will not be here next weekend, the locals are here every weekend and we get treated like nobody:wtf1:

Well after last Sat they need a time limit on everybody. Everytime you turned around the caution was flying, maybe thats why they cut laps.

WE HAVE A RULE UP HERE JUST LIKE THAT LUCKY, 20 LAPS OR 30 MINS WHICH EVER COMES FIRST. 3 WEEKS AGO THEY GOT IN 8 LAPS AND THE CHECKERS FELL.

Shoot in a couple of those races I dont think they would have made 8 laps.

Yea they put time limits on races and they have cut some short before but why cut them short before the race even starts ?

ksmitty79
06-21-2007, 12:58 AM
i honestly dont see anything wrong with cutting the race short. Heck how many times have you been to fms and have spinouts every other lap.. I know as a spectator it gets old and i know for the drivers it has to stink. (last time i checked you cant pass no one during a caution.) Thats something i dont understand about fayetteville. They have more single car spinnouts then any track i have ever been too

Racerchaser
06-21-2007, 01:21 AM
You got a full night of racing. You have a National series in town with 50-55 cars expected and 2 lap time trials 4 heats races, 2 b-mains, 50 lap feature race. And who wants to send all night at the track, plus the Super lates have got race at VMS saturday night. Its called time, time, time

Yea they put time limits on races and they have cut some short before but why cut them short before the race even starts ?

gb81racing
06-21-2007, 01:23 AM
dry tracks cause more spinouts and no i dont like cautions every other lap but i also dont like the racing to be cut short before you consider a time limit

I understand where yall are coming from as fans you dont want to stay at the track all night and you mainly want to see the slm and dont care about the lower divisions much, but as a racer i do want to get a full race and i like to watch all races to its full length as a fan

gb81racing

Yes there will be a full night of racing but a driver wants to race.

I am a true race fan. I am that fan that is there when they are rubbing the track and and am there till that last checker flag falls no matter what time it is. And honestly most nights i like the lower divisions better then the slm. But at fayetteville you do have to agree with with me.. In the pure stock Gleen howard is going to win.. and the super stocks you know the top 5 before they start. I would also like to congradulate you and you team for the job that yall are doing this year. I can also see when your comming from with cutting races short due to time. If i were a driver i wouldnt like it because yall work just as hard to get your cars on the track and you deserve the right to race. But with a race of this magnitude there honestly isnt enought time to race every lap and qualify every car that is in the pits.

gb81racing
06-21-2007, 02:05 AM
I understand where you are coming from and thanks, and yes you can almost guess the top 5 in super street every week but you never know who will win it is always competitive (well most of the time) and 1st is always up for grabs.

Just be thankful they did not cut the classes out COMPLETELY..........Racing 10 laps is better than NO LAPS..............Many tracks drop a class or two the night of a touring series.:havefun:

I guess it's better to cut laps then purse. Thou one can say the added cost for a pit pass is like cutting the purse.

RACE FORMAT
Time Trials/Qualifying will determine the lineups for Heat Races. All Drivers must run a Heat Race or Last Chance Race in order to transfer to the Feature. All entered drivers will compete in a heat race. Heats will be ten (10) laps unless otherwise notified in the drivers meeting. Heat races will invert four (4) cars. Heat Race Winners will redraw for starting positions in the A-Main. Number of transfers and Heats will depend on the number of entrants and announced at the drivers meeting.
The number of Heats to be run will be determined solely by the Series Director, and will depend on the number of cars present, track conditions and the Race Track concerned.
Depending upon the number of Heats, either the First 3 (three) from six Heats, or, 4 (four) Finishers from four Heats, will transfer to the Main Feature. All other Drivers, in order of Heat Finish will go through to either one or two Last Chance Features. If more than 16 (sixteen) Cars are present for the Last Chance Feature, they will be split into 2 (two) Last Chance Features in the following manner:
If Four Heats are run, positions 5 through 16 in Heats One and Two will go to Last Chance Feature One, and positions 5 through 16 in Heats Three and Four will go to Last Chance Feature Two. If Six Heats are run, the split will be Heats One, Two & Three to Last Chance Feature One, & Heats Four, Five & Six to Last Chance Feature Two. The Top Finishers from the 2 Last Chance Features will complete the Main Feature Grid on a side by side basis. A maximum of 24 or 26 Cars will start the Main Feature; depending on Promoter/Track (see Promoter's Options).

What are heat races? What's a last chance race? Umm they qualify and run heat races then possibly have a consi or two. These national guys have no idea on how to put on a racing event. They would never make it around here putting on weekly shows.
