This is only a question and I have no fact to the topic of this thread.. I was told by a friend of mine that they may be going to every other week like FMS does..
What have you heard?
What do you think about it?
Will it hurt the track or help it?
Thanks for any input you may have...

I have seen some talks about it on a couple other sites, but nothing official from BGM. Things have been a little rocky for DMS this year.. I hope they can get things turned around. I have been down twice and enjoyed both visits.. You can see some photos I took by going to www.dpphotosonline.com I would like to come back down again before the season is over we'll just have to see how everything goes..

The Guys At Dunn Benson Mentioned It To Me Wed. While I Was There And Sounded Fairly Sure Of It. Don't Know What Effect
It Will Have On Dublin, may Bring New Faces To Other Tracks,
But What I've Seen Over The Years It Hurts The Fan Count As Far
As The Average Joe Who Comes To See A Good Show And The Show
Cars Are'nt There.

It will hurt the fan count watch and see. I'm not gonna drive down there on Fridays if the Supers aren't racing.

Clary's seem to be the only track that will run them every week.Looks like it will be a good season for them.

It has not hurt Fayettevilles attendance this season, by running SLM every other week. Could be a good thing for Dublin. There are always a few that will not go on the off weeks , but most will still be there. Running them every week could be a bad thing for Clary's , only time will tell. Most drivers are not going to travel very far to race.

the attendance has been good at Fayetteville but remember they race on Sat. nights..now the majority of drivers and fans can't knock off around 4-5 and head an hour or two down the road so they end up going to fayetteville..blows my mind that such a nice facility can be abused the way it has been...
just my .02 cents

Clr and Clary's are both good race track. IT takes reald river's to race at them . Fms and dublin mhm.i hear alot of people talkin trash about them ALL the time. So before you come on here bashin track look at what tracks get bashed the MOST.FMS/DUBLIN.And has far has wayne county goes that is the owners fault the track went down hill.

Just to let you know Eckert 24 hell county line has been running for years. Just a couple of years ago FMS was CLOSED and hell DMS just opened a couple of years ago. And Clary,s seems to be doing pretty well when i go. So there are other tracks .

Your right James. I've not been to CLR yet this year but looking in the back ground of some of Kevin Fishers photos the crowd count looks half way decent.

I like FMS don't get me wrong, but I think the races are better at DMS. They have train racing at both tracks but it seems to be every week at FMS and every now and then at DMS. Clarys has some great action, County Line always seems to please me when I go and I miss WCS

Now that I have quoted a few of the responses, My opinion on DMS running SLM bi weekley is mixed. The limiteds do put on a great show down there, but I think 50% of the crowd that does support DMS is there just because of the SLM. Another thing is, will I have to still pay $15 on non SLM weeks???

So many things I could say about people bashing clary's and thinking that fayetteville is the greatest place on earth fayetteville is a good track but its the fans that make alot of people angry. But its time for me not to say anything because thats how I got in trouble last time so I gonna stay out of it other than what I have just said.

Mike told me Thursday that dropping SLM was "something we're going to discuss after the race, but we're probably going to do it."

Then he can probably pack his bags because the "no supers, no me" statements seem to be rather widespread.

I think that running slm's every other week is a bad mistake. Over half the fans at dms come to see the slm's. It didn't hurt fms partly because fayetteville is a heavily populated town and a military town. Dms can not survive without them. I fully support dms every week and fms when the slm's run and in my opinion dms has the better racing and faster qualifying. Dms has shown much needed improvements. Dms nailed it last night. The track was in great shape, the racing was excellent and we were out by 11:30. If they will continue this the fan count will pick back up. We as fans and drivers need to also do our part and give credit where credit is due and stop the negative input because we also play a role in the tracks survival.
