I think you are right, friday nights would bring in more fans and the fans want to see late models......

Fans can see old beaters run around any track anytime...

But, i know the man is just getting started so i'm willing to try it his way for a while.

Just got back from the track and i have to say it was a good show tonight, we really enjoyed it and it was twice as good as last week...

One he// of a pure stock race , V8 Sprints ran two races which was a nice surprise(French ran in both those races & did very well), Mini Spints had a side by side finish , Ucars were fun to watch as usual, they gave the kids some stuff & had a drawing for a giveaway....It was worth $12 & we had a great time.....

People really need to come to this track, it's getting better every week...

I think he should go back to Friday Nights, like it's always been, where the cars that use to come last year which go to 311 and franklin co. speedway now which have always raced on Sat. nights , and if he would go to Friday nights they would come. It would be MORE CARS which would bring MORE FANS which go to 311 and Franklin County Speedway.

Everyone wants to blame French for the late models not running at FMR but in fact he talked to some of those guys and they refused to run there for less than a grand to win, and nothing wrong with that if it were feasible which everyone knows just starting out it's not, but he told them if they wanted a place to race the track was there. These guys have big money sponsors and can afford to race most anywhere but when it comes to supporting a track in it's time of need I guess that is not an option for these guys, but any of you late models that don't let the big sponsored cars speak for you just contact French and I'm sure you will get the opportunity to try out the really fast 3/8 mile track.

fireball - i was at the drivers meeting at Rolling Thunder Raceway this winter and the drivers settled for less money just to race there. i'm not buying it that the purse is too much. IF French would just have a meeting with the late models and compromise with the drivers on the purse, he wouldn't have to pay over his head. the drivers worked with Rolling Thunder Raceway, they would work with French too.
:Hey: FRIDAYS ALL THE WAY, BUT ROLLING THUNDER RACEWAY IS GOING TO RUN FRIDAY NIGHTS AND A LOT OF DRIVERS FORMALLY FROM OAK LEVEL RACEWAY WILL COMMIT TO FRIDAYS AT RTR.

Running Go Karts for a grand? Tell me more. And about the late models...That is why French isn't running them at this point. Way too big a purse for a new, just starting out track to absorb. He has nothing against them, just the cost of racing taking it's toll on all of us.

I have spoken intensely with French about the late models and was told that if he could get some late models who wanted to race and set their rules he would love to have them, but again let me say that the purse seems to be the biggest issue with the late model guys, so if any of the late model guys would like to work out something with French you need to contact him and get a meeting with all you guys set up and see if an agreement can be made to let the late models have a fast race track in which they will be proud to come back to week after week and help the track be a great success which I'm sure it will be.He's (French) not the bad guy alot of people make him out to be, but he is very strict on rules and the enforcement of.
