Try this web site:
http://www.mortec.com/castnum.htm
But you need the whole number to look it up correctly.

they are probably good enough to start out with until you get used to dirt track racing then probably a set of chevy vortec heads would be the best you can get for ps or ss

This is my first time on dirt I raced asphalt for 17 years. All I know is I have a 85 montecarlo with a stock rear end in it right know but Im getting a ford 9in next week to put in it. I dont know whats the best off set on dirt is. I never raced a montecarlo so i dont even know the bolt pattern. Not tring to sound like I dont know what im doing. Im used to 4 cyl. mods. I need at least 4 wheels, all that came on the car is 8in wheels. So I dont have any 10in wheels. I might come in the pits at fms this weekend to just see whats going on. Thanks

ok well the ford 9 inch is probably 5 on 5 cause that is what my 9 inch is. i have 2 or 3 chrome 4 & 3/4 and 6 or more black 4 & 3/4 and some tires. i cannot run the 4 & 3/4 no more cause i changed my front end to 5 on 5 this winter.

I have 5 on 4 1/2 front and back now on the car. I havent put ford rear end in yet. I might run the stock rear end for a race or two. So if you have any 5 on 4 1/2 let me know. But im still looking for 5on5 also.

measure from the outside of one hole then skip the next hole then measure to the middle of the next. is that what you did? if not your pattern is 4 and 3/4
