May 22, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Carnesville, GA)…The FASTRAK dirt Late Model Series is set once again for the beautiful Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway just outside of Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina this Friday, May 25. Lowe’s has become synonymous with speed and racing as the speedway no doubt has made its mark in stock car racing at the "big track" with the "Dirt Track" now adding more and more top notch events such as "The Colossal" and the "Goodyear All Star Challenge," which will feature the FASTRAK dirt Late Models. Teams from across the country are expected as the chance to race at this "premier" facility is something every team looks forward too.

The second annual event continues to see the fans and teams increase. Just like last year, the FASTRAK Late Models will be running in conjunction with the World of Outlaw Sprints and a huge crowd is anticipated to be on hand. Several NASCAR stars are expected to be on hand with Clint Boyer being the only "confirmed" driver to date. Last years event featured NASCAR star Kenny Schrader and fan favorite Kenny Wallace.

The Mid-East and Southern combination Touring event is always exciting as the Lowe’s format is that of draw, four heats, two consolation races and the feature event. Lowe’s and FASTRAK have teamed up to provide some of the best racing ever seen at the dirt track facility.

Fans are encouraged to be there as early as possible, as a full house is anticipated for this event. The Speedway provides some of the best facilities in dirt racing with beautiful suites, aluminum bleachers and more than welcomes fans from across the country. The action at Lowe’s is always "fast and furious" as the events there move along very quickly. Access and parking at Lowe’s is second to none as the track is easily accessible off of Interstate 85.

Executives from several of the FASTRAK Late Model Partners are expected including that of Goodyear Racing, General Motors, Maypole Chevrolet, Modern Chevrolet, Richard Childress Racing, Griffin Radiators, several sports marketing firms and driver development representatives from most NASCAR teams in the area.

Over 40 dirt late model are expected to be on hand as this will be the first of two events for the weekend for purses totaling over $20,000. The series will start at Lowe’s on Friday May 25 then go on to Wythe Raceway in Wytheville, Virginia on Saturday night.

Goodyear To Increase FASTRAK Tire Production

AKRON, Ohio, May 9, 2007 – The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company announced today that it would immediately increase tire manufacturing for the FASTRAK Racing Series in order to address the growing popularity of the circuit.

"The growth and popularity of the FASTRAK series has outpaced our expectations as well as those of the series’ management,” said Justin Fantozzi, marketing manager for Goodyear racing. “That growth has also outpaced our supply. We will respond to the higher demand for our tires by increasing manufacturing immediately."

Goodyear's manufacturing adjustment will include shifts from other tire lines to focus on the additional products needed for FASTRAK, and the investigation of opportunities to increase overall production. Fantozzi added that FASTRAK teams will begin to see an increase in available race tires by the May 25 FASTRAK event at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire supplier for the FASTRAK series of dirt-track racing. The tires for all of FASTRAK’s competitive divisions are manufactured at the company’s facility in Akron, Ohio.

One of the world’s largest tire companies, Goodyear began its involvement with racing in 1901. Since then, Goodyear tires have dominated many forms of racing. Goodyear is the exclusive tire supplier to NASCAR’s top three series and a leading supplier to NHRA drag racing, sprints, sports car and off-road racing. Goodyear produces nearly a half-million race tires annually, all built in Akron, Ohio.

Thats not crate racing bill!! Thats poor mangement by a sorry company. "Goodyear" would have been out of bussiness a long time ago if it wasnt for the momoloply they have along with the france family. I have always wondered, but dont care enough to check, but I wonder just how much stock the frances and their relatives have in goodyear. Nothing but an inferior tire by a sub standard company. JMHO but whata I know:40vw:

Nope unless iam wrong (which is very rare only about 2% of the time lol) and in this case iam not. FASTRAK only allows you to run Goodyear. Actually they have had to postpone all their national events for a month now cause goodyear couldnt supply em any tires

Yep. They posponed the national events, but allowed the regional to continue --- running whatever tire they could. Least that's what folks at different tracks were tellin' me.
