Hope the car count picks up. I think more will come when they hear about the good track condition.

Don't hold your breath. With him only paying $100 a car he would have to have about 12 cars just to race for $400 to win. Plus I don't know of anyone who wants to have to put another seal on there motor just to race there when there motors come sealed.

that whole sealed engine thing is about the most retarded thing i've ever heard of.

how hard would it be to check the top 3 in each division randomly throughout the season? i mean you could do a p&g test or what ever its called after the race. and even scope the engines if they wanted to it wouldn't take that long,

Sealed engines are going to be the way of the future. The only way to control the cost of racing engines. With sealed engines , you do not have to check the engines at the track , just check the seals. Ends all the complaining about cheating.

you may be right but like i've said before racers are always trying to go faster and with sealed engines that makes you limited on what you can change.

i mean who wants to watch an iroc type race on dirt. it will be just like those 305 sprints booooooooooooring races to watch just follow the leader.

even back in the 70s when my dad was racing they would pull a head on the top 3 cars about twice a season.

nascar has ruined their local race shows with the late model stocks those 2 barrel motors are mostly just follow the leader. thats why i started going to dirt tracks to actually see some racing again.

i sure hope they don't adopt some of the same concepts for the dirt tracks.

i was at the meetings a few months ago. french said only 3 late models showed up, so that showed they weren't interested in running. he asked jason about crates and they couldn't come to an agreement. french said he didn't like crates. too easy access to cheat. but now he's decided to run them. even so, there was no advertising they would run excluding the results AFTER they had ran.

Someone has to put their foot down on the cheaters. Hey, cheating takes a lot of money. That is the whole point. Stop the insane high cost of racing so more people can race, and more people can afford to come to the track to watch. Who wants to watch Joe rich run away from everyone just because his wallet is bigger than his talent? Takes real racers to win on a level playing field. Talent isn't bought, it's earned!

In the crate class its not follow the leader I feel its who can get the car to handle properly and who has the biggest nads to run it a little deeper or who can mash the gas a little sooner. Tell ya what get two drivers with equal cars and I'll show you who the better driver is or at least show you who has less FEAR!!! All I just said you can go race competitively in a crate car (Complete Car), Than you have in a good Super Late model car!!:VeryHappy:

not trying to start an argument here tim. but you must not have ever seen a crate race at your favorite track. there on the rev limiter half way down the straights. theres nothing left to pass with. just like late model stock race at any paved track its FOLLOW THE LEADER.

It's super competitive and yes they don't have Super Late Power but they can put on one hell of a show!! I'd love to see French have 30 crates on that track and then you could see for your self what a good race it would be at Fork Mtn.

IF THERE ON THE CHIP THEN SOMEBODY DON'T KNOW WHAT THERE DOING. WE RUN CRATES UP HERE AND ON TWO DIFFERENT SIZE TRACKS AND FOR THE MOST PART THEY ARE NOT ON THE CHIP. YOU CHANGE THE GEAR. IT'S JUST LIKE SUPER LATES OR MODIFIEDS, YOU GO TO THE LIMITER BUT NOT AGAINST IT. USE A GOOD TACK TO FIND YOUR RPM's. THE RACER DOWN IN GA. MS. FL. LA. DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM.

guys,

i think i may have been wrong about the crate cars at wythe. we went there last night and from what i seen it looked fairly competitive. we left before it was over too many cautions and i was getting COLD.

i think i will go on a regular race night and check them out again soon.

A lot of tracks have a gear rule for the crates and that causes them to hit the chip. As I have said before I will NEVER go to a stand alone crate race!!!! I watch em and enjoy some of the races I have seen, but I view em just like a pure stock or superstreet class, "Limted Machines" :Elvis_NBS:

rules work, you dont run a super in the street stock race.. look make rules,
pay good , it dont make sence to spend $200,000 on a track and then
pay there top class a $500 purse.... ? dont ask a poor racer to spend
a day and 40 to 60 $$ of gas just to get a car teched... get down to
the track tech the winner and on random car each wk seal 'em if you
want.. who cares about a chip. and a crate car wont pull after 6500
any way .. scope them if you want but the most way to cheat a crate
is cam.. crates are already sealed if you tamper with the bolts,, they
cant run them in fastrack... and power dont win races on a 1/4 to 3/8
mile dirt track. driver and set-up does...most people race for fun not
to win.. the guy who tries to win and cant, sometimes says the guys
beating him are cheating, when really it may be just an agressive
driver, or the guy who takes his car complete apart each wk and
makes sure its perfect...

John many races like this and the crates will be a stand alone series.

$10,000 to-win event at Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia over Labor Day Weekend. thats fastrak series and stormpay are racing for $2,500.00 weekly. You know the old saying, money talks

You should have been there last night the supers put on a great show!!! But I'm tellin you now the 24 crate cars that came out last night put on a heck of a show also!!! I hope JH can make it to a Fasttrack show I feel he may change his mind??? Maybe not but I think after a trip to Wythe and the crates put on a show for the fans like they do week in and week out anyone will have a greater appreciation for them as well as the drivers in the crate class!!!!!!!

come up here and take a look at our crates. Most races only take 3 cautions at most and then for a spin more so then a slam fest.

make sure when you come up it a Super Late Model night, course you will probably come up with Marcia and JR and he will race that night anyway.
