Well Iwas thinking today we always have to keep a eye on the weather
for rain but I guess we need to be concerned about wind now...
Just woundering who will agree if the lucas race was today the show would go on .WIND AND ALL.I may be wrong but I wounder if thw wind was the real reason they didnt race.I have seen race tracks so rough they should of called the race and didnt.Everybody has to dodge the same holes is what I have been told although the car owners have to make repairs where the track tares up the car.SO WHATS THE DIFFERENCE ON A LITTLE WIND.

I don;t see why the wind would be a factor in the race .But hey who knows why they really called it.

yea it was a bad excuse, but i think they thought the fans woulndt be in the stands and they would lose money. what about the race teams and fans that lose money traveling to events and they get called b/c of wind and or rain. think about us sometimes and take your loses cause the true fans and racers would have been there and probably a lot bigger crowd than you think would have showed up in the stands and pits. one more thing, us racers and fans were willing to stick it out and support fms on a sunday and look what we get.

#1 Theres only one racing series that run on Sundays. NASCAR ( successfully)(I am not a NASCAR fan)
#2 How many other series race on Sundays. IRL and Champ car is all, and now more and more IRL races are run on Saturday or Saturday night.
#3 If Sunday was a good day for dirt tracks to run, all the series would schedule them from the get go to race on a Sunday, but they don't. When was the last time you heard of a Sunday dirt show. Even the World and the WDTC changed from Sundays. Look what happened to Pennsboro
#4 Sunday is not a good rain day or make up day, never has been and never will be.
#5 Unless it is BLACK TOP a Sunday show is dry, dusty, and follow the leader, frigate train racing
#6 Sunday at most homes around the county is family day. Dinners, Picnics, Parties, Kids, and last but not least HONEY DO TIME.
#6a Sunday is also your last day off before a new week begins.
#7 If you only run one track, thats good for you and if it gets rained out, You don't heve much maintaince for that week but if you run Friday and Saturday, Sunday is your first day back to get on the car for next week.
as a comment below how long has Hav A Tampa been gone?

Hey Bill is the World of Outlaws Late Models a series? Just wondering based on your earlier post I would have belived they were not. Since they are running in just the months of May and June 11 events not on a Friday or saturday.
Schedule (http://www.worldofoutlaws.com/latemodel/Schedule.aspx?Page=1)
I belive that race fans or screaming for more santioned and big shows and will start coming out to support them. I also belive that true race fans are looking for an alternative to nascar and other stick and ball sports and would support local sunday racing. I know I sure would. There are alot of dirt fans out there who do not have cushy 9-5 mon thru fri jobs and they make it out on fri and sat's and turn around and go to work that night or the next day. Iam telling ya the first track that starts to get a little creative and flexible, could be sitting on a gold mine.

i would heck yea and the only way ill watch nascar if they get ride of this tupid Crap COT and go back to old school racing and drop this top 35 go home stuff i think they all should qualify and tht should put them in a heat race or like a gatorade 150 were u have to race your way in and bring back The Rock and North wilkesboro extend the shceduale make it 12 races 12 cars hey tht sounds fair to me there is alot of good race teams out there tht run good in the races and then dont make the races take the RED BULL team Brian vickers runs with the top cars like top 10 top 15 everytime he makes a race so if u dont make the race u go home i wouldnt care if u were Jeff Gordan you would go home
