I would like to give a big thumbs up for a awesome race track. A whole lot of time has been spent on preparing the track, and that is the best I've ever seen this track look and I've been going up there for many years. Track had a lot of bite, you racer's and fans have got a good place to go.

That's good news track was nice and smooth, but how was car count? I was planning to run up there, Mr. grimes says I need to tech the car during the week now, no weekend teching. So I got a job not taking a day off just to tech the race car, before we race so I'll race when he got time on weekend to tech. I hope all goes well for all racers at fork mountain.

French has been open for weekend tech prior to the season start heck he had two whole months open for it.. Fork Mountain Raceway - 2007 Racing Schedule (http://www.forkmountainraceway.com/schedule.cfm?scheduleKey=2) So it's not his fault you could not get to the track on any given weekend. I am sure if he finds the time he will tech you but don't expect him to consider you or anyone else special, French runs a professional program and usually means what he says.

I guess where French dug up the old clay and trucked all the new Georgia clay in really paid off. 4 feet deep new smooth clay surface sure makes for some really good racing! Being the next race isn't until May 19th seems like people would have almost 2 weeks to get their cars teched, for anybody who wants to race. Well I really enjoyed the racing at FMR Saturday night. Great job guys.

Most racers are poor and are on a shoe string and with gas almost
3.00 a gal, and haulers get 10mpg if your lucky, most don't want
to spend 5 or 6 hrs and 60.00 or 80.00 just to get car teched in
maybe he techs on race day. If he does then theres no excuse.
How was the car count? I thought it was gonna rain out, thats
my excuse for not comming. I do wish I had went too see the
new track, Mabey on the 12th.. I do wish French well.....

Well racejunkie I did try last two weekends to get teched by french. Called him and he said that due to the events and other appointment by other teams that was planned. He not have time to tech our car. would like me to plan on the weekdays And I told him that the weekdays I work need to be done on weekends. And if he can't take 30 minutes to tech my Mini stock when I ask him that weekend is all I have off. So you been say last few months he trying to work with all racers with time and questions that are need attention. Fork Mountain is my home track and I want to race there.
Before you say That i wanted special treatment and not know whole story. I did my side of calling appointments thank you.

Maybe things will work out for you, I am sure if French has time he will do it.. They are not racing this weekend so maybe he could fit you in, I am not sure I know he lives a good distance from the track.. You could also maybe ask if you could meet him early one weekend that they are racing, surly he does not want to turn away any cars that are willing to support the track.
I did not mean for it to look as if you were asking for special treatment. I only meant it as a reference to the matter.. No one should expect special treatment from French because from what I have been told he is fair to everyone and he will do what he can to help anyone..
:thanx:

i notice crate late models are listed in the results. i thought french decided not to run crates for lack of support. will they be regulars? will they be FASTRAK weekly racing series?

I asked French the same thing when I saw the results.. He said that there were a few that wanted to race, I was told that only two showed up this week, but there were a few more coming. I believe they were getting cars ready, I can't remember the exact number he told me that were coming so I am not going to quote him on that. I don't not know about them being FASTRAK, I failed to ask that question..
I do know that if there are a few out there that wants to run he will do all he can to run them.. They just need to support him and he will return the favor..

I think there's about 60 cars that have signed up to race at Fork Mountain Raceway so far. There's about 30 cars that have been teched. And I think there was about 27 cars at Saturday Night's race. I have heard that some cars are not quite ready to race yet and some people thought the race was rained out, which it wasn't. So maybe the May 19th race coming up next we'll have more cars and better weather. The crate late models are going to be running the full season according to French. So let's get the cars teched and go racin!!!:icon_metal:
