that 6 inches is b/s....... doug is making up the rules as they go..we try to get it down in the rule book the right way but they dont see that it is important to have all rule in black and white with NO gray areas.

yea mine was like 12 or 13 inches and when he told me that i went back and cut it to 7 and yea it gives a little advantage it lets some of the air outta the back of the car but its not really alot of and advantage, yea i agree with u buddy they need to stck with the rules and not leave any grey areas

ADVANTAGE------- IF YOU TAKE ALL THE LITTLE ONE IT ADD UP TO 1 BIG ONE OR MAYBE MORE.... TIGHT RULES PUT EVERYONE OWN THE SAME PLAYING FIELD..WHAT IF 358 C.C IS THE RULE AND I GOT 360 C.C. IS THAT A ADVANTAGE ? WHAT IF MY RIMS WIDTH IS 12 INCHES BUT THE RULE SAY 10--IS THAT A BIG DEAL....TRACK OWNER NEED TO UNDER STAND IT IS A BIG DEAL...WHEN WE GO TO THE TECH SHED TO PULL OUR MOTOR DOWN IS IT GOING TO BE A BIG DEAL IF I AM CHEATING BY A LITTLE OR ARE THEY GOING TO LET IT SLIDE....BY THE WAY I UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN WE GO TO THE SHED THEY LOOK AT THE WHOLE CAR FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER AND THEN THE MOTOR..HOW THAT FOR TECHING---NO GRAY AREAS............

I don't think a little advantage was the answer CHanson was looking for. If D8 and 11 cars are equal and D8 runs the back panel and 11 doesn't. The 11 has got a big advantage. The panel acts like a parachute with the air and if the track is tacky it can collect a lot of mud. If it was good LM would run it.
