can anyone explain to me how high wind would effect the racing. True it would be busty but hey its a dirt track thats what happens... ill be there may 19

I was at the track today, and I can tell you that as bad as the wind was blowing, it would have taken all the water in Cumberland County to keep that track moist enough to race on.

exactly, and if it was a saturday they would have raced and it wouldnt matter if the wind was worse. i mean they will cancel b/c of wind on a sunny sunday but will wait on sat. when it is cloudy, chilly, lite breeze and drizzeling to get everyone at the track to practice and get cars dirty then cancel. should have aleast got all the fans and drivers out there before canceling so we could enjoy the wether compared to sat lol.

good point.... i know yall have to remember last year. heck i was siting in turn 4 and couldnt see the cars in the middle of 3 and 4.. i think it was a bad call. Heck they would have a great car count considering the number of tracks that canceled around the area..ohh well what can we do about it now.. Fayetteville is still my home track

Good Decision on FMS part.. Don't know why everyone is all pissy about it.. Hell I would not open either if I knew I was going to take a loss right from the start.. Running a track is a BUSINESS and sometimes you have to make a BUSINESS decision, weather it makes everyone happy or not, sometimes they have to be made..

It's always easy to make the calls from a fans standpoint when your money is not on the line, everyone should look at what the track has done so far this year and what they are bringing to you..With so many tracks struggling to even open the gates on race day it's not so bad to cancel a race for whatever reason they seem fit. I think FMS decision should be respected and not deemed false or Bull****..


I don't know the answer to success but the answer to failure is try to please everyone..:confuzeld:

The FMS staff is striking a fair balance between providing a full evening of entertainment and keeping the program moving. The decision to cancel the race last Saturday was the right one, and you made it as early as it was reasonable to do so. The members here are race fans, and were understandably upset at not having a chance to watch last week. Take it all with a grain of salt - there is no alternative to your track. The stands will be full for the next race, and I'll have a shot at catching junior in the U-Car race.
