FASTRAK LATE MODELS AT WYTHE SATURDAY FOR A MID-EAST TOURING EVENT; $2,000 ON THE LINE

(Carnesville, GA)…The FASTRAK Late Model Touring Series will resume action this Saturday night, May 5 with a Mid-East Region event at Wythe Raceway near Wytheville, Virginia.
Wythe Raceway is very committed to the FASTRAK Series as they race the FASTRAK Late Models and Modifieds on a weekly basis. Last week, 31 FASTRAK Late Models turned out for opening night at Wythe with Kenny Peeples, Jr. victorious; meanwhile the Mid-East Touring Series was at Volunteer Speedway where Shane Roberts scored the victory over the 42-car field.
Roberts will be gunning for his second straight Touring win and will be joined by traveling racers like David “Bad Boy” McCoy, William “Mr. Smooth” Thomas, Timbo Magnum, and others set to take on the locals like Peeples, Phil Hall, Donald Bradsher, Tate Hughes, Jason Lawrence, and a host of others. With all the FASTRAK Touring regulars combined with Wythe’s strong weekly crop a big field is expected like last weekend for the $2,000 to-win, $200 to-start feature
Wythe is home to the FASTRAK Nationals, which will be held over Labor Day Weekend on September 1 and 2 paying a whopping $10,000 to-win on Sunday night.
On Saturday, gates open at 3 p.m., tech opens at 4, a drivers meeting will take place at 6:15, with racing at 7. Pit admission $25, grandstands $12.
The Ramada Inn at 955 Peppers Ferry Road in Wytheville, Virginia 24382 is the host motel. For more information call 276-228-6000.
