And just think the Clary's were paying 5000 weekly and could not get a full field weekly..................... Shoot they paid $20,000.00 to win and 99% of our local guys went into hiding. I still wonder where all of those Carolina Clash guys were.

Alot of the clash guys have jobs and/or businesses that keep them from racing during the week. It's a pretty good haul from where most of those guys that run the clash live at to Clary's.I know most of them enoyed racing there and i'm sure would have showed up if at all possible. The one and only clash race there was awesome just like most of the races i ever saw there were.

I understand that, but I dont know many of them that have a business where they could have made $20,000 in two days.(ended up being three with the rain)

$20,000.00 only if they won.. That won't gonna happen with the level of competition that was there, and I'm sure they knew it too. Remember this purse had one of the biggest drop offs around from 1st to 2nd..
Anyway why are we re hashing the past?:DontKnow: I seen a couple racers from the Fayetteville area up at Clary's this past week.. With FMS not running Lm's every Sat I'm sure some may travel..
FMS will have the Lucas race this year, that will give the Clash drivers another chance at some good cash with some big names I am sure..:Deal:

You're right there, but some have to think about the long term.I am pretty sure that Ricky had a job shutdown for maintenance where he works at and Jeff usually has his hands full with his customer's cars getting them ready for the weekend.I'm not making excuses for anyone, but sometimes there's more to these deals than it appears.

Hell it was 50,000 at the colossal had more drivers last year. Even with the rain. No one knows who will show for a race If it is 500 or 50000. I just go hoping to see a good race.

I have never been to Clary's but I have always heard that they have a hard time getting a good size crowd or a field. Is that true and if so why?

They have ran 2 weeks and have had 15 late models one week 17 the one week........the support classes are down a little........and crowds are fair at best.
