:saiyan:Looks like ASCS Southern Tour and Mid-Atlantic Regions are pretty weak regions compared to all other ASCS sanctions. Only 21 cars total with 16 starting feature and 5 of those VMS regulars. Adams was in another time zone! One note to VMS announcer, when a touring group races at your track it would be considerate to the fans to give line up and drivers names before race starts.
And with rain in the area why not speed up the show by hot lapping all the cars in a class together instead of 5 or 6 at a time.

Every track has a night like VMS had sat nite and lets face it 21 cars isn't a bad feild for virginia they had 21 show up for a USCS NATIONAL race one year and 14 for a allstar race the year before that then you add in the rain as for hot lapping thats how they time trial they only put five or so cars at a time so they can have a clean lap anyway for 12 bucks it was a full night of racing and vms has got nothing to be ashamed of
360's

Show was great and hebing would have been there to challenge adams thats a promise... Barger dropped a cylander. I know there was some mix up with getting all the cars to the infield which us northerns are used to getting hurried to the infield. I think someone told me there was a few waiting to get into the infield but it was to late or something.
Your right there was 5 vms regulars and two had 360's in there cars.
With the gas price at almost $3, your lucky anyone made the trip 9 hours from NY or NC.
Alot of the 358's never changed over to the 360 rules still. Trailway still runs the 358 engine.
Let just face it NC and VA just ain't sprint car country and through in a 360.
If I ain't mistaken there was always out of staters that rain the southern tour.
