by Bob ApplegetCLEVELAND, Tenn. -- The Top Tracks Challenge Series and the Cleveland Super Late Models will share top billing this Saturday night at Cleveland Speedway (http://www.racefan.com/Results.asp?TrackID=490&StoryID=217043#) with $5,000 up for grabs if one driver can win both events.
The double header event sponsored by Cleveland Aluminum Products will feature the Crate Late Models will run 40 laps for $2,000 to win and the Super Late Models running (http://www.racefan.com/Results.asp?TrackID=490&StoryID=217043#) 35 laps for $2,000 to win. If one driver wins both events he will pick up an additional $1,000 bonus and walk away with $5,000.
"With this cold and wet spring weather causing so many problems we decided to make this weekends racing a little more interesting," said Cleveland promoter Monty Morrow. "Nothing does that better than putting more money on the line so we got together with Cleveland Aluminum Products and did just that."
In support of the Crate and Super Late Models there will be racing in A and B Hobby, Pony and Front Runner divisions. Each support class will see more money in their purses.
For the Cleveland Aluminum Products Late Model Double Header the pits will open at 3 pm and the grandstands at 5 pm. Racing will start at 7 pm. Grandstands are $15 for adults, six to 11 are $3.00 and under six free. Pit passes are $30.00.
