$5,000 to Win Crate this Weekend at Pike County

MAGNOLIA, Miss. -- This Friday and Saturday night April 20th and April 21st Pike County Speedway (http://www.racefan.com/sresults.asp?SanctionID=1112&StoryID=217305#) will be hosting a National Stormpay.com Crate Late Model Race. Friday nights program will consist of qualifying heat races for the Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, UMP Modifieds, Super Late Models and the Stormpay.com Crate Late Models. Saturday evenings program will consist of Stormpay.com Crate Late Model Last Chance races, feature races in the Pure Stock, Street Stock, UMP Modified Super Late Model and the seventy-five lap, $5,000 to win Stormpay.com Crate Late Model feature event.
Drivers expected to be on hand for the $5,000 Stormpay.com National Championship event are Woodstock, Georgia's Frank Ingram, Ingram is the current Stormpay.com National Touring Series points leader. David Gentry from Lewisburg, TN who is currently in second place in points and only two points behind Ingram is expected to be on hand for this event. Other drivers that are expected to be on hand are Angie, Louisiana's Jay Blair who has two Crate Late Model wins of the season at Pike County. Also expected to be on hand is Davin Bates from Independence, Louisiana who also has two Pike County Speedway Crate Late Model wins in 2007.
Due to this weekends event being a two-day show, PCS management has raised the purse by 10% in the Pure Stock, Street Stock, UMP Modified and Super Late Model.
On Friday, gates will open at 5:00pm, General Admission will be $12, Seniors $10, and children ages 6 to 12 will be $6. All Pit passes will be $25.
On Saturday, gates will open at 5:00pm. General Admission will be $15, Seniors $12, children ages 6 to 12 $6. All pit passes will be $30.
