What kinda gear yall think we gonna have ta run in a super street? Aint never run but 1/2 mile track, I understand around a 7.00.........to much...to little.....:DontKnow:

I was over a couple weeks and looked at the track .. I'm just guessing
but I'd say 6.91 to 7.05 if the track has fast corners mabey turn 8200
with that gear in a latemodel ??mabey a 13 sec lap ??? come on guys
what da you think..? no secrets everyone will figure it out in one practice

Guessing 7.00 would be close in SS.
Late-Model will be in the 6's.
One late-Model driver ran OLR with his 311 gear accidentally last year and finished a strong 2nd.
probably about the same size as OLR but it is 60 feet wide. Some drivers sware it's bigger.

I Used To Run Late Model At The Oak When It Was Small And I Ran A 729 To A 705 Gear Thats Where Im Starting At Up At Rolling Thunder

I don't know. The track to me looks more like a minature Martinsville Speedway. Long straight aways and tight flat turns. I noticed alot of cars spinning tires coming off the turns. Like maybe too much gear and not getting any bite? I would guess super street depending on tranny, 5.13-6.00 somewhere in there.

Oh yeah, we used to run a 4.11-4.56 at the old Oak Level before they made it a little bigger and ran a 3 speed in 2nd gear. Won 5 races with that combo back 94.

well I wound up with a 7.04 and busting a 6600 chip hard
not much mtr here but I put a 7000 chip in for quailifying
busted it not hard though,.. 15.4 lap car a touch tight
car wt 2262 I'm guessing some others running a 7.29 turing
8200 spinning some with a 14.8 lap time ??? late model
SS ??? same gear in the low 7's turn 7,000 sounds good
anyway bring what ya got it will work 6.97 to 7.29 ???
