David your points will be scored 69X, because you are the second 69 to sign up. I won't think of asking you to change your number, I know you have been that for a while, but you might be ask to add an "X" at the track if both cars are there.

No, there is ONE LM Class that will run Limited's, LM's and SLM's cars in it with a weight break and a ONE CRATE class.

Thanks Sundi for helping me out with this, I've been very sick and kinda slow on things lately.

Tire rules will be posted next week, track work is coming along, right now we need the Power Company to do there part. I'm sure these storms are going to slow them down now. But almost everything that still needs to be done has a good plan behind it and things have been thought out. Pit area is being leveled out and made bigger, seating area is looking great. A prefab building is going to be used for the scoring tower, so just because it isn't there yet, it won't take but a day or two to get it done. Concession deal has been taken care of, it will be mobile unit as the county wanted us to use for 2007. But the owners will be working it with great food at FAIR prices. The owners have two "other" concession units coming , but they might not get here in time for the first race or so.( one for the pit, one for the grandstands) But until then one will be on the hill. Talks are going on with drink companies, and yes we are asking for help from them on a score board with timing (we might not get it, but we are trying). Thanks to everyone so much for working with us and we will be open as soon as possible, with also trying to be as fan friendly and racer friendly as we can. Gary and Alesia are working very hard on things but still welcome your visits. We want your first race with us at RTR to be your first of many.
Thanks Wayne

Please allow me to try to explain the Late-Model Class. The original class that was being looked at was STEEL HEAD LM. At the LM rules meeting it was brought up asking to allow super LM engines, and also ask about allowing Limited LM cars run in our LM class. Things were talked about by about 20 teams, rules are as follows for the Rolling Thunder LM class.

Super LM cars (Carolina Clash engine rules) 2450 lbs.
Steel head or spec. head LM 2300 lbs.
Limited late model cars by limited LM rules 2150 lbs.

All the cars weights are after the race with driver, these weights were voted on and agreed to by the teams present and will make up the Rolling Thunder Late-Model Class .

The web-site is confussing some I know and is suppose to be fixed right soon. It was set up from and out-side company and we have just gotten control of it.
Thanks, and any questions please call 276-694-2590

Ok I was going with the web site and some post I had seen on here. Hope you go with the D11 tire as all tracks that run spec head are on this tire.

So, are you close enough to completion for a tentative start date yet? I heard the annoucer and Fred commenting on the track at Wythe Saturday. If the two work together, it could only be beneficial for both. I heard Fred had some arrangments made last year with Volunteer, only to have Joe not hold up to his end of the bargain, but a Friday/Saturday deal could be great. Hope everything is going smoothly and it opens soon.

Can't give a for sure date yet, due to waiting on power company to do there work. Rolling Thunder Raceway wants to work with Wythe Raceway any way we can for the betterment of racing. Fred Brown is one of the good things in racing, we do hope to take some lessons from him and appreciate his help.

Wayne, I can assure you Fred is a man of his word, and he runs a great track!!! The proofs in the pudding to say. Look at the car count and the stands week after week. He puts the fans first and puts on a great weekly show and doesn't keep you out to the wee hours of the morning!!! I hope you can take some Ideas from him and run your track with the same pride and fan friendly racing program!!!! Good luck and I will see you at the track!!!!!!!!!
