I would just like to take the time to thank the lord for lettin me see Dixie a third time. I have just seen her runnin a deer in the back horse pasture back her it made me feel so good that she is still doing what she loved to do in death. for those of you that dont know its been tuff for me ssice that november day (the day after thanksgiving) I went on my usual hunt like I have done for years on that date. Well around 8 that nite Dixie got hit by a car still pourin it on that deer the next morin had to have her put down she was hurt so bad. I have seen her 3 times and one of the times actually got to pet her. But it was an experice gettin to see her run that deer again she always loved doing that so its good to see her still doing it.

yep some of my greatest memorys come from huntin wit that pacticular dog. she was the first puppy i ever raized that ended up to be any good at huntin. first dog that was mine that i killed a deer in front of. she sure did mean the world to me. Id give anything in the world to have her back the best huntin dog ive had so far and thats sayin sumthing cause ive had at least 25 others through the years.

i know im not suppose to quote any of his posts but i think its cool he saw her again... i remember the last time i talked to him when he said he saw dixie, and i remember the day he lost her. its good you saw her again.. i know what it feels like to lose a dog. :animal48: but its true memorys last a life time.:icon_agreed:
