Hoping to get going by end of April. Track itself is basically done, drains installed, concrete barriers are being hauled in daily for construction of the outside wall. ( This should be better and faster to install than the guard rail) Working on the grandstand area now, and are looking for some preconstructed grandstands. Have poles for lights, and lights are on the way. Already have nice big LED stop lights (4) for caution , red and green lights. Yep, lots to be done. I have been down with the "creeping-crud" the last week and haven't been up there, but I hear things are going along pretty good.

Official rules aren't released yet, some people did leave with the rough draft that we were using at the first meeting. Printed verision won't be released until after the LM rules meeting Saturday. That way we don't have 3 or 4 different sets out. They will be on the web-site, and I hear it might be up tomarrrow, not sure. When the official rules are ready they will be out, not until. But believe me, we are trying to get everything done as soon as we can.

Racing by the last couple of weeks in April, Practice will be as soon as we can get the track and support structure.(walls, fencing, PA system, etc.) ready. I know everyone is getting itchy here, please remember one thing. Rolling Thunder Raceway only started into existance around 3 months ago. It's not like we just need to put a coat of paint on things and sweep some floors. Gary and Alisa are doing a wonderful job, just hang on. It'll happen!

SS rules are actually ready, just waiting for LM meeting so we can put track rules, and all class rules together in one package. I know you guys need to know answers, that's why we had the meeting a couple of months ago and went over things. So drivers and crews could get to work on cars. Very few changes were made to the rough draft rules I had that day, which I think means the meetings went very well. As soon as the web-site gets up and running the rules are suppose to be on it. That is suppose to happen any day now, a company in N.C. is working on that I believe. But if you do have any questions, just call and ask.

Hey "Q",
Bathrooms will be built, next thing on the agenda. They're looking at a mobile concession type deal,(suggested by county for first year) but I think that might change. But those plans are being made . Saturday night racing is being looked at seriously, and Gary and Alisa have concidered building a small track inside the big track, just need to get this Friday thing going and then work from there.
I'm looking at doing some racing in 2007, I just hate I'm going to be working at Rolling Thunder, because I think this place is going to be racey. And I won't be in the middle of it.

Friday NIGHTS!!
That's why I said we need to concentrate on Friday night racing and get it up and going. So things wouldn't get started.

Thanks BigKid, glad ya'll are actually building bathrooms, I'm so sick of the port a jons at these tracks, I think a lot of tracks could take lessons from Fred Brown's Wythe facility. And the mobile concessions is what I would do to, that way you ain't hassled by the state on inspections. Cool deal, I might make it up tomorrow, got a lot going on and no time to spare.

I'm sure you're wide open, trying to help with the track, work, and get your car ready, it will pay off in the end. Bout the same here, got 2 businesses to run and 2 race cars to keep up and make the whole world happy, I LOVE dealing with the public!!! NOT!!! Still hauling asphalt? Haven't seen any of ya'lls trucks out this way lately, just wondering. I was coming to the meeting sat. and Phil Hall called me and wanted me to take his car to Carolina Speedway so I could'nt make it. Later.
