Sportsman Meeting

For those drivers worrying about having to run against my car, i could have saved you some time in the meeting today discussing me and my car. I have and had no plans on running my car there. I do have plans to go whenever available to support the track and the drivers running there. As i think a lot of people should do to hopefully keep the tracks we have left. I do not however like the two faced people that talk different talks during different situations. For the last time i will say my car was legal by the rules where i ran it and even at a certain track that i was not allowed according to the rules and other cars there that were running some of the same parts in question but was not illegal on their cars. For thecouple of drivers that were not afraid to run against my car i commend you and for the ones that were, let it go for goodness sake. My car has been retired for the upcoming season and you have no fear of it showing at any track running sportsman this year. Last for those who say that they don't mind running against it to my face but then threaten to stop racing if the track lets me run it with them, Grow up and race. The way i see it you can take what i have to say the way you wish. The ones it offends then i guess it must be you to whom i am refering.

I got the news of my cars involvement in the meeting while attending a dear family members funeral today so the fact is, racing my car or not racing my car matters either way to me!

Yea i know i should patten that sucker. I am just amazed how everyone knows more that the chassis builders that build them theirselves. But most of all i am just tired of the drama from certain drivers when i have stated that i would willingly trade chassis and run against it myself with their chassis and even worse the fact that i have stated that i wasn't going to run it this year on a couple of occasions. Then to find out the main discussion in a meeting that i did not attend for a reason was primarily concerning me and my car just bothered me. So i figured i would hopefully put it to rest once in for all. And i wish all the drivers which includes the very drivers doing the complaining the best of luck and i will be there as much as possible to support them. Then in the end let life sort out the difference.

I appreciate it man and yes hopefully i do have a ride and will possibly be gracing clr with my pretty face some this year...lol.... and for the comments i cou;dn't have said it better myself. its just hard to hold my tongue sometimes when it seems i keep getting attacked when i'm actually not even involved. hahaha i guess u where day dreamin at the metting then, i heard can we run the donnie odom setup this year, and then everyone went to talkin about how he had 5 bars running foward, they where talking about a shock on the top of the rear end, when that is nothing to an advantage, then they went to talking about how the birdcages where not bolted down and i told him that he could come to the house and look if he didnt bealive me, and then i said that u can buy the car bc its for sale i think, and if u buy it then u can examin it:18lol: :Nana:

Don't take this personally but i already knew who called me by name including yourself. My only problem was i feel everyone is beating a dead horse with anything concerning my car because of posts i have already made previously this year concerning my car. But if what you say is true what were you asking for because how do you even know what i am running to ask for it. So far everyone that has commented on my car that i have heard is only rumors and what they think in their mind and have no true facts to back them up. Just one example was that at the meeting it was stated my cages aren't locked which is false and i will be glad to have you over to see for yourself. So was that possibly what you were looking to run. If not then please feel free to tell me what i am running so i will know myself. Or better yet just race. As for the post concerning eric you may very possibly be right. He has already beaten my car (yes the same car in question ) two years ago with a very clean and impressive pass i might add at clarys so i feel pretty darn sure he could do it again and again and again. And believe me, i have lost more than i have won so the fact that i can be beaten is an understatement.



If You would like to come and look at the cages my invitation stands and i mean that sincerly with nothing smart ment by it. You can messenge me and i will give you my number to arrange a time for you to come by

Sorry for this extra post but lastly if anyone would like to email me a copy of the new rules for the sportsman class at clarys i would love to see if i could take my other car and be able to run there before the end of the season. I know the car in question is out but the other one might be able to be prepared. And i know of at leaste five other drivers there that are capable of waxing my behind but just to show that i have enough respect for those drivers i would be honored to get beaten by either one of them and to be beaten by them would not stop me from returning.

Those rules won't work because they are the same rules that produced all the comotion last year. by the way they are written the car in question could be legal. and shoot i already retired that car. I will just have to call and find out but thanks anyway. That way i can be sure of the problems in question for the other car which was to have the same basic set up.:behead:

The rules above were posted on the 12th.. If you look at Clary's website they were updated on the 13th.. So the rules above are not current..

I was one that brought up what a 3 link was and got a answer BUT Today i called SKIP ARP TELE # 501-581-1486 and this is what he told me 3 link one bar running to each side of rear-end lock down and one on top.What he said if someone have 1 bar on one side and two on the other side then you're tring to run a 3 link set up on one side and a four link set up on the other side.I'm not a chassic builder but i would hope he knows what he's talking about and hopefully the rules will read the right way so we don't have any grey area

Its way to simple... 3 links...... in the foward direction.... locked..... anything else is wrong. Whats wrong with the statement above is, where is the center link, the cushion pull bar? that makes the 4th link. No Z-links, no 4 bars, No lift bars, or any of that stuff. just strait up 3 links, 2 on the side, one in the center.

Well I will report to all of you what is on Donnie's car. He invited me over to see it, he even loosened the bolts that are locking his bird cages to prove they are locked (and he has not worked on the car since it came back from Harpers when they wouldn't let him run, because it's still on the trailor). He does have 2 bars on the left and 1 on the right, and a torque arm connected to a chain only. He tells me that all of the chassis manufacturers he has talked to says that setup is what you get if you order a new 3 link car. He asked me to report back that the cages are locked and they are definitely locked on both sides. He also says that the car will not be run anyway, so everyone should just leave it alone about his car. I will pretty much agree.

what are you going to have on the other side. There is no set answer, all chassis builders have their own angles and mount locations. There is NO set three link configuration. a lift bar with a chain by some builders is called a torque dampener/ have you ever tried to push a chain how could a chain be called a lift bar? A J bar illegal? only reason for bend is to save chassis in wheel hit bend folds and saves chassis. Swing arm is not 4 bar set up. Get real lets race quit worrying about other peoples cars and work on your car

Well if you have a lift bar on a car its wrong. If you fashion it to do other stuff besides what it was ment to do, its still wrong! There is not need to bolt a lift bar on a sportsman car if the rules say no lift bar. Thats it. YOu can adjust the angles of your 2 links on the side all you want to. If you want the left one to be higher that the right, thats fine. The thing with bird cages is if there locked I guess its ok. I can't see why you just can buy regular mounts. Probally because you can loosen them before a race and tighten them up after. This is not intended for Donnie becasue he can drive the wheels of a dumptruck, but there should be set rules so everybody can be happy!
