There is only one true back to the roots racing and that is dirt. But Nascar is nice to have on the days that there aren't any dirt races close enough or on tv to see as a fill in.... I think that even nascar shoud do like some of the series out west where the drivers have to run a couple of dirt tracks during the year. What woud be wrong with changing those goodyears for a set of american racers and opening the gates of eldora using the same cars. I'm sure the owner of eldora would approve. Lets get some of those young guns back to the roots of racing>:Zippit:

I think there should be an hourly program every week covering dirt track racing. All the major dirt races should be covered live. WoO and Lucas Oil should both receive a weekly program that highlights their previous week and upcoming weekly events.

That would be awesome. Better then that cashcar crap.

Before we moved, our track had a Monday night telecast of the previous Saturday's race. The problem is that even the SLM look SLOW on TV. Especially after folks have watched NASCAR. Sure, real race fans could appreciate the slide jobs, etc. But the novice or "new to dirt" watcher thought the action was dull.

Nothing beats being there and "feeling" the roar of the engines and smelling the raw fuel.

I LOVE dirt racing. RARELY watch NASCAR (maybe the last 15-20 laps). But seeing dirt racing on TV is kinda boreing. Ir really looks like they are kinda idleing around the track. And that's a pity.

Why in the world can't the Speed Channel show more racing? You would think that with all of the various series and types of racing in this country we wouldn't have to be subjected to shows like "Unique Whips". Give me a break! And there's "Pinks", entertainment, maybe, but not racing. And the host of "Pinks", not a clue.

Why not a series of shows visiting a different track each week. I think it could be popular and would give local racing some much needed exposure. Also, it would show real racing, not NASCARS contrived version.

Anyway, this is only my opinion and I reserve the right to change it at a moment's notice.
