"According to her mother, Tina, she is struggling to stay alive.

She had surgery to have a feeding tube put in. She needed this to get strong enough for a double lung transplant and developed double pneumonia.

She took a turn for the worse and has been put into a paralyzed state. She is now breathing via life support fighting hard for her life.

2/16/07:

"She made it to St. Louis.... she was flown via helicopter and tolerated the transport very well without the ventilator.

Once in St. Louis she was put back on the ventilator but they are going to try and ween her off...that is great news too.

She has been activated on the Lung transplant list.

If a set of lungs becomes available she is eligible. Something she has been dreaming about!

According to her mom this is a process that is a little tricky so everything needs to stay as is or improve so she can remain on the list. It is easy to have one bad blood count and get taken off."
