SIERRA BLANCA, Texas (AP) -- A Roush Racing car hauler crashed into a motor home, setting off a chain-reaction accident involving other vehicles on a far West Texas highway Wednesday.
The hauler, carrying two Nextel Cup race cars, crashed along eastbound Interstate 10 near a U.S. Border Patrol highway checkpoint west of Sierra Blanca. Border Patrol agents say the hauler crashed into a motor home, causing it to hit a tractor trailer, which then hit a second big rig. One person was taken to an El Paso hospital, about 80 miles west of the crash scene, while three others were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries. Their identities and which vehicle they were in were not immediately available.
Traffic was diverted to a nearby access road while the crash was investigated.
A spokeswoman for Concord, N.C.-based Roush Racing said it was unclear if the cars, en route to North Carolina from Las Vegas, were damaged in the crash.

SIERRA BLANCA, Texas (AP) -- Former NASCAR driver Joe Millikan was one of two Roush Racing employees injured when their hauler started a chain-reaction accident near a border patrol checkpoint.
Millikan, a passenger, was in stable condition at Thomason Hospital in El Paso, Roush officials said Thursday. Justin Grebe, the driver, was treated and released following Wednesday's accident. Millikan made 80 Cup races from 1974 to 1986. His best year was in 1979, his only full season, when he finished sixth in the points and was second to Dale Earnhardt in the Rookie of the Year race. He also scored a career-best finish of second that season in a race at North Carolina Speedway.
The hauler was headed back to Concord, N.C., following a two-day Nextel Cup test in Las Vegas. Two of rookie David Ragan (http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/nextel/drivers/629/)'s race cars were in the truck.
The accident happened about 9 a.m. along eastbound Interstate 10 near a U.S. Border Patrol highway checkpoint west of Sierra Blanca. Border Patrol agents say the hauler crashed into a motor home, causing it to hit a tractor trailer, which then hit a second big rig. Traffic was diverted to an access road while the crash was investigated.

First of all you started the smart azz comments when you replied to the two earlier post, then you thought after you spoke and went and edited your post. But its still here for everyone to see. Were are you getting your info, the only aritcle I have seen is from the AP (which is above) and the one on racerap and hell they dont even have the right guy driving the truck. So even if joe was hurt bad he wouldnt be the one out of a job I wouldnt think, it would be the gentleman who was treated and released. Also always remmber :race_rap_sucks:

From Jayski:
#6 Hauler involved in wreck in Texas UPDATE 3 former Cup driver injured: A NASCAR hauler carrying the #6 Roush Racing AAA Ford Fusion was involved in a multi-vehicle wreck 85 miles east of El Paso mid-morning Wednesday, according to Border Patrol officials. The accident occurred just after 9:00ammt [11:00am/et] at mile marker 102 on Interstate 10, near the Border Patrol check point outside the community of Sierra Blanca. Truck driver Jesse Bear, tells ABC-7 the tractor-trailer struck a motor home in the rear. According to ABC-7 reporter Darren Hunt, the front part of the rig's cab was completely torn off. The NASCAR hauler, owned by Roush Racing, was only transporting the AAA-sponsored racecar. Driver David Ragan was not involved in the wreck. Bear adds there were "a few other vehicles in the wreck, but everything was crushed together." Crews diverted eastbound traffic from the Interstate to an access road as crews cleaned up the scene. According to Border Patrol agents at the checkpoint, the hauler struck a motor home, which then struck another 18 wheeler, that then struck a 2nd tractor trailer. Emergency radio transmissions indicated that at least one person was rushed to Thomason Hospital with serious injuries. Emergency officials add there were 3 other persons transported to local hospitals. Emergency crews with Culberson County, Hudspeth County, and Ft. Hancock all responded to the scene of the accident. Law enforcement officials tell ABC-7 accidents of this type are not unusual for the checkpoint, as drivers aren't expecting to have to stop quickly, just off the interstate.(updated from kvia.com (http://www.kvia.com/Global/story.asp?S=6017576))

Yep, I sure did go back and add that he was doing better, you're right about that. Figured people reading would like to hear the good news part about it.
Saw it on the news, and Jaski's has it covered pretty much like the news did. What I was refering to, the driver of the truck is probably more worried about the other three people that were hurt and especially his co-driver Joe Milliken that was hurt bad instead of worring about loosing his job. I'd hate to think he thought possibly loosing his job was the worst thing that happened.

You do have a point, but I forget.......Just how was this any of you business?
And I still say "some people" I don't think people should joke about it when somebody gets hurt in a bad wreck. But maybe they were in the same deal as you and said something about it before knowing the whole story. And yes, I did go back and change it after thinking maybe they didn't know the whole story. I just didn't realize somebody "Pulled your string".
