Yup I am aware. We invite all race fans Asphalt or Dirt, we are here to help everyone not just a select few tracks.
I opted out of adding a section for Asphalt Forums Like we had last year. I think it would be easier to group them all together under Track Forums We will see how the year goes, if we get more fans from different tracks and everyone would like it separated, I am up for it..:exactly:

Wow! I'm very excited about the new ownership of Franklin County Speedway. While I am not familiar with the new owner, I noticed where the Roanoke Times interviewed Tam Tophem in regards to the new ownership and track possibilities. For people that do not know Tam...he owns Mark 4 Honda in Wytheville along with Fred Brown...owner of Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat VA. Tam races a truck in the Goodwrench series and last I talked with him he also sponsored Jeff Earnhardt (Kerry Earnhardt's son) and done some sponsorship for Kerry too I believe. So, back to the point, I'm really confident because of that interview that Franklin County Speedway will come back up to it's potential and beyond. Years ago after the closing of Log Cabin, Franklin County became my new forum for racing and I've seen some awesome racing at that track. It's a nice place that has been severly neglected over the years, but I have a gut feeling that is about to change. So, congrats to the new owner and hopes for a great and successful 07 season! :flip3:

Just read on the website too that Don Hutcherson and his wife Kathy will be back at Franklin County Speedway in 07...Hutch use to announce there years ago and was the OLR announcer for several years also. Very nice people! I'm sure we all will hear Hutch singing "Picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel" again soon. Kathy is always a loving and friendly face to meet at the sign in gate...glad to see you all back in racing! Love ya both!

I'll be at the drivers and owners meeting Tuesday and will have all of the info posted on the forum late that evening. Richard Gluth has also mentioned a "community" track clean up day. If the weather is good he may have it this Saturday. A little elbow grease, paint and some tender loving care will bring Franklin County Speedway back in the limelight it so deserves.
There will be some live audio webcasts of the races at FCS during the 2007 season, too. I will have more info on that when the plans are ironed out!!

He would use "single file indian style" a bunch, too. Don is a real professional and has been in the business for years. He will definitely add tot he quality of the FCS experience!
