No This track has been around since the early '80s and closed down around 1990. It was then recovered and opened back up again in 2001 and has been running ever since. It closed down for about two months last season due to promoter issues. Modoc Speedway has a new promoter that finished out the last 5 months of the 2006 season and looks to start the 2007 season with a bang. Over 50 loads of new clay has been brought in and the track has been completely reworked. Another 50 loads of clay is on its was before the end of the week. The addition of go kart track will add more racing action and fun this season on a separate night from our Friday night weekly racing action. Modoc Speedway is a Fastrak Sanctioned track for Crate Late Models and Open Wheel Modifieds. We also run a Hobby class, a Super Street class, Stock V-8 class, Super Stock 4, and Extreme 4. We will also begin adding a mini stock 4 class which will be a different modified type of 4 cylinder class.
Our track is roughly 4/10 mile track that is semi banked with more banking being added it to it for this season.

Very nice track, good side by side racing and some very nice people trying to make it a go. come support it that's what makes a good track great.
