You can do all of the "who's the best" and "top driver" threads you want, but the bottom line is, who won all the money?
I only counted the big races paying $5,000 or more, starting in March. You stats keepers sharpen your pencils & check my math, I'm sure I missed a race or two somewhere.
TOP TEN MONEY WINNERS FOR 2006
1. Scott Bloomquist $407,000 in 17 races.
Over half was from only 4 races, $50.000 at Lowes in April; the $100,000 Dream; $50,000 USA Nationals; and $45,000 Topless
2. Shannon Babb $229,500 in 20 races.
The Summernationals was worth $132,000 for him, and the DTWC raked in another $50,000
3. Earl Pearson, Jr. $121,999 in only 7 races!
4. Jeremy Miller $92,000 in 10 races
5. Chris Madden $90,000 in 11 races.
6. Rick Eckert $80,000 in 8 races.
7. Brian Birkhofer $71,000 in 9 races.
8. Steve Shaver $65,000 in 3 races.
9. Shane Clanton $63,001 in 7 races.
10. Wendell Wallace $55,000 in 3 races.
Well, there's the top ten, counting only $5,000 or bigger races. If I get a little time I'll see if I can find total winnings for these, it will be interesting to see if a driver moves up the list with a string of smaller wins!
