the following article from xtremedirtcars.com is very interesting in outlining his career

and his 1.9 mil in earnings since 1995

JOPLIN, MO - Four-time Xtreme DirtCar Series Champion Scott Bloomquist of
Mooresburg, TN will get his first opportunity to reach his milestone 100th
career series victory on Tuesday night at Joplin 66 Speedway in the
$10,000-to-win Xtreme Shootout 50 Presented By CFI and Columbus Ford.

Bloomquist is the current series point leader and picked up his 10th win of
the 2003 season, and the 99th of his career on Saturday night in the Trim
Spa USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI.

The magic number of 100 for Bloomquist is even more remarkable in that his
win total is over three times higher than the next highest total number of
wins, which is 31 career wins by 1999 series champion Dale McDowell of
Rossville, GA. Since 1995, Bloomquist has earned $1,836,855 in career
earnings.

The first career series win for Bloomquist came on February 27, 1993 at
Waycross Speedway in Waycross, GA. Since then, he has won series races in
18 different states, with Georgia leading the list at 24 wins.

Bloomquist has also won at 57 different race tracks. Facilities where
Bloomquist has the most wins are Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC and Dixie
Speedway in Woodstock, GA. Three of the Dixie wins were in the Xtreme
Shootout, the richest race of the series. Bloomquist is the only three-time
winner of the Shootout.

In reflecting on his 99 wins to date, Bloomquist said it's tough to pick one
out as the most memorable. He said the Shootout wins were easy to remember
because they paid the most money, but according to Bloomquist there is one
race that might be considered as "most memorable."

Win number 71 came at The Dirt Track At Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte,
NC on July 3, 2000. It was a special draw and bonus that made this one
stand out.

"I was going to have a pretty good starting spot up front for that race, but
they didn't go by the usual format, and they made the first 18 starters draw
for their starting spot," Bloomquist said. "I drew 17, and if I could win
the race, they would add $1,000 for each position I moved up. I moved up to
third by the halfway pit stop at lap 50, and then I ended up winning it. It
was a pretty good payday because I got $20,000 for the win and $17,000 for
winning it from the 17th starting spot."

Bloomquist holds the series record for most wins in a single season with 22
victories in 1994. He has won the series championship in 1994, 1995, 1998,
and 2000.

"The 22 wins in a season was pretty strong back then, but it would be harder
to do it now because the competition is a lot tougher," Bloomquist said.
"That's why that win at Lowe's is a memorable one because every top driver
in the country was in the race, and most of them started in front of me."

Many of those same drivers, plus a Winston Cup star, will be at Joplin 66
Speedway on Tuesday night trying to keep Bloomquist from winning the 100th
victory. Brian Birkhofer of Muscatine, IA, Jimmy Mars of Elk Mound, WI,
former series Joplin winner Steve Francis of Ashland, KY and two-time and
defending series champion Rick Eckert of York, PA will be there.

Other top XDCS entrants include Earl Pearson Jr. of Jacksonville, FL,
McDowell, Donnie Moran of Dresden, OH, Dan Schlieper of Pewaukee, WI, 2003
XDCS Lucas Oil Rookie of the Year Matt Miller of Waterville, OH, Steve
Shaver of Parkersburg, WV, and Jeff Smith of Dallas, NC. Terry Phillips of
Springfield, MO will lead the tough local contingent.

Winston Cup star Kenny Schrader of Fenton, MO will also be competing with
the nation's top traveling Dirt Late Model pros on Tuesday night.

Several of the series top drivers will be appearing at the J-Town Billiards
and Sports Bar at 26th Street and Main Street in Joplin from 7 p.m. to 10
p.m. on Monday night. There will also be a Miss Xtreme Joplin contest
during the evening.

The winner of the "Honorary Pit Crew Member For A Day" will also be
announced on Monday night, and will serve as one of Rick Eckert's pit crew
members for the Tuesday night race.
Former XDCS Joplin winners are Steve Francis in 1999, and Wendell Wallace of
Batesville, AR in 2000.

Advance tickets, both general admission and reserved (top 8 rows of the west
grandstands) are now on sale. General admission tickets are $20 in advance
and reserved seats with backrests are $25 in advance. Advance tickets can
be ordered via credit card by calling (417) 768-1149. Spectator gates open
at 5 p.m., time trials at 7:30 p.m. and racing is scheduled for 8 p.m.

Joplin 66 Speedway is located on West 7th Street in Joplin and is 4 miles
north of Interstate 44 off of Exit 4.
