GRANVILLE, Australia -- The starting line-up of American contenders for Outlaws Down Under IV on January 18, 19 and 20, 2007 at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway (http://www.racefan.com/sresults.asp?SanctionID=265&StoryID=208770#) has been finalised.

Fifteen drivers will fly into Sydney for the international extravaganza that this season includes two women drivers, Natalie Sather (Dakota) and Becca Anderson (Delaware).

The drivers announced are: Steve Kinser (Indiana), Sammy Swindell (Tennessee), Donny Schatz (North Dakota), D anny Lasoski (Missouri), Joey Saldana (Indiana), Jason Meyers (California), Jason Sides (Tennessee), Jason Solwold (Washington State), Jonathon Allard (California), Natalie Sather (North Dakota), Becca Anderson (Delaware), Tim Kaeding (California), Travis Rilat (Texas), Tommy Tarlton (California), and Chad Hillier (Washington).

Several of the drivers – including 20 times American Champion Steve Kinser – plan to start their latest Parramatta campaign several weeks ahead of the Outlaws Down Under showdown.

Kinser, who will be making his thirteenth visit to Australia, is planning one of his most intensive Australian campaigns since he first raced here in Sydney during the 1979-80 season.

He has freighted two complete cars, heaps of spares and tyres for his Parramatta commitments that will commence with the running of the time-honoured Valvoline Australian Sprintcar Grand prix (http://www.racefan.com/sresults.asp?SanctionID=265&StoryID=208770#) on Boxing (http://www.racefan.com/sresults.asp?SanctionID=265&StoryID=208770#) night.

By his own immaculate high standards, “The King” of world sprintcar racing (http://www.racefan.com/sresults.asp?SanctionID=265&StoryID=208770#) is keen to atone for what he describes as below-par performances in the past two years of Outlaws Down Under.

His race equipment has already arrived and he plans to jet into Sydney with enough time to prepare for his 2006-2007 Parramatta season debut.

Joey Saldana, who will drive for the Kasey Kahne team this season at Parramatta, also will start his Parramatta campaign on Boxing Night.

2006 Knoxville Nationals Champion Donny Schatz, who last season cleaned up the major international events at Tyrepower PCR, also is ready to launch another Parramatta onslaught driving the Garry Rush Pick ‘N’ Payless J & J machine.

Jason Meyers, who will drive his own car (http://www.racefan.com/sresults.asp?SanctionID=265&StoryID=208770#) under the local Harry Delamont ownership, will commence his schedule with the running of the annual fifty thousand dollar-to-win race on January 5 and 6.

The Delamont team is well prepared and will be even further strengthened with the addition of Meyer’s freshened spar e engine.

Californian Tommy Tarlton also will make his debut at the fifty thousand dollar event and will take over the seat formerly occupied by Parramatta’s Peter Murphy who will drive for the Tarlton Racing team from December 26 to January 5 before returning to America.

Washington’s Chad Hillier, who last season was a crew member for Lucas Wolfe, will take over the driving chores in the team owned and operated by Sydney car owner Gary Corfield.

Meanwhile, Steve Kinser’s long-time adversary Sammy Swindell will make his fourth Australian visit, following on from the previous three Outlaws Down Under shows and will again drive for the Barry Graham Richard Petty Driving Experience team.

Lasoski, who took out the 2006 National Sprint Tour (NST) Driving Championship, comes with the Dennis Roth Motorsport (http://www.racefan.com/sresults.asp?SanctionID=265&StoryID=208770#) Team for Outlaws Down Under IV.

He heads to Parramatta after completing a superb US season where he consistently finished in the top ten of the NST races during the season.

Of the 38 completed races the Roth Motorsports (http://www.racefan.com/sresults.asp?SanctionID=265&StoryID=208770#) team scored ten feature wins, 19 top three finishes and finished out of the top ten only twice. It was that level of consistency that propelled the Roth Motorsports team into the point lead and set up their NST series victory.

Natalie Sather, 21, has been a competitive racer since aged nine when she raced karts. From there in later years she graduated into 360 sprintcars where she competed in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota before she entered the ASCS national circuit in 2004. Natalie already has shown in her career she has the “true grit” needed to come back from adversity. In 2003, after only four races in a sprintcar she was involved in a serious crash that threw a gigantic question mark over her career. Natalie underwent several operations to repair multiple leg fractures, but showed the tenacity later that year when she returned to the track and posted two top-ten finishes.

A native of North Dakota, Natalie has attracted plenty of local US media interest while she often gives something back to her local community with college and high school speeches.

Meanwhile twenty-seven year old Becca Anderson, who hails from Houston, Delaware, competed in her first race at 11 years of age in micros. Becca later graduated into sprintcars and this year successfully completed her first full season of racing 410-sprintcars on the World of Outlaws Championship trail where she was placed fourteenth in the final point standings. For her rookie year on the WoO trail she was with respected car owner/crew chief and former driver Mike Woodring.

She made 32 starts in WoO competition for six top-ten finishes and started from the pole position twice. In addition, she has 13 career wins in 360s with the United Racing Company and the Empire Super Sprints as well as success in 358 sprinters. On the United racing Club (URC) trail she has eig ht wins, including the ESS/URC Challenge at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge, NY.

In 2006, she was one of the contenders for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the year Award presented by Maxim Racing and Butlerbuilt.

Tim Kaeding heads to Australia as the most successful winning driver on the NST 2006 championship trail. He led the series with 15 main event victories and was placed third in the final NST standings – just 14 points behind runner-up and team-mate, Steve Kinser.

For Outlaws Down Under IV Kaeding will drive the Dave Helm #11H car normally driven by Kerry Madsen who this season will compete in his own car for the international events at TPCR.

Jason Solwold enjoyed a good season on the road with the NST and was placed fifth in points. He showed consistency on the circuit and posted a total of 25 positions in the top ten results that also featured two wins and 17 top five performances. Solwold drives the R#19 sprintcar for the Carn ahan Motorsports team.

Jason Sides finished seventh in the NST point standings with 26 top ten results that breaks down to 11 in the top five for one main event victory.

Meanwhile, Jonathon Allard, who made is first racing visit to Australia several seasons ago, will drive for Morrie Williams in Outlaws Down Under IV.

Williams’ former driver was Peter Murphy who raced for the Californian-based team for a number of seasons.

Allard came to Australia originally to race for John Kelly at the Brisbane International Speedway. Allard’s first full year on the Outlaws trail was 2004 after having based virtually all of his racing in California where he has won a number of major events including the Dave Bradway Memorial and in 2002 was Silver Dollar Speedway Champion.
