Gary Mabe of Danbury, N. C. shows the quickest way around Fayetteville Speedway on June 11 in the 100th running of a Carolina Clash event. Mabe led from start to finish in recording his first win in the six-year-old Super Late Model dirt racing series.

Gary Mabe became the fifth driver to win in six Carolina Clash races run in 2005. Mabe recorded his first career Carolina Clash win at Fayetteville Speedway Saturday night and took home $4,000 for his efforts. This was the 100th event held by the six-year-old series. The win boosted Mabe to third place in the season points standings, placing him behind Ricky Weeks and Jeff Smith.
