Contestants are trying out-do one another in a pizza eating contest last year in the Family Fun Day at Sumter
Speedway. The prize to the person eating the most slices of pizza? A stack of 2 for the price of 1 coupons
for hamburgers at Bojangles. Another fun day is planned for August 20, beginning with a yard sale at 8 a. m.

SUMTER, S. C. - A big day is planned for Sumter Speedway on Saturday, August 20th, beginning at 8 a.m. with a giant yard sale. Later on will be an auction, a hot dog eating contest, a pizza eating contest, a Dunk Your Favorite Driver, face painting, Bronco Billy and other games. Also meet and greet your favorite drivers, plus stop by and say hello to the Faster Pastors.
That night, enjoy six classes of racing action plus a Faster Pastor event and a Power Wheels race for the kids. ($5 registration fee will be donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation)
The highlight event will be a 30-lap special race featuring the Pro Stock cars and drivers.
The whole day of activities is to benefit the South Carolina Make-A-Wish Foundation.
