limited late model is normally a steel head class where a crate is a GM crate motor (604 i think). same chassis and suspension just different motors

a crate latemodel will be more affordable for the average joe so alot more drivers will get in it

the motor may be more affordable but that just opens it up to who can buy a new more expensive chassis than the rest, you can never take the deep pocket racers out of the equation
