Well, not to be ugly, but I didn't offer you tickets to come with me, and seeing as how I don't know you, I wouldn't anyway. Might piss the hubby off ya know.
It's a semi-annual girls weekend. No men-no aggravation-no worries about qualifying or making a race. It's about going out, having a good time, getting drunk with friends that I only see twice a year. I hate it's on Clary's weekend, but I wasn't going in the first place and this is my great excuse to not go. I've been racing every single weekend since April, sometimes twice in a weekend. I need a break. I am burnt out and could care less what happens at this point.

Well I gues if you nedd a break from racing, going to a Nascar/Asphalt event would be a break from racing....real racing!

PS: I know you didn't offer me tickets, and I wouldn't have took them anyway...............and you'll know me before too long

Have fun with the girls at that thing in Martinsville

It's not that I need a break from racing. I just need a break from all the drama revolving around it and the people involved in it. At least at this race I'm going to, I don't have to worry that if the car gets torn up, that means extra work for those who have to fix it.

Martinsville is a great little track, and I intend on going to the Truck race as well as the Cup race that weekend to see some of the best Nascar racing on the circuit besides Bristol.

It's your opinion about Nascar and the fact that you don't like it is fine and dandy with me, but what I don't get is why you talk **** to those who do like it. I like football and hate basketball, but yet I don't talk trash to those who do like basketball. It's all about respect. Remember that.

I pay too much for my tickets, when I pay for them, to offer anyone anything, and if I were to make a list, I doubt you'd be on it. On the knowing you before too long, that remains to be seen I suppose.

And I will have fun at that "thing" with the girls in Martinsville. Trust me. It hasn't failed me yet.:smiley_595:

So, I guess that driver's like Tony Stewart, Ken Schrader, Kasey Kahne, Carl Edwards and Dave Blaney have forgotten their roots too? Oh, and not to mention Dale Jr. Know why? Because they all either own dirt tracks and cars or make a point to run several dirt races throughout the year, along with numerous others I could list. Does that make them 'Na$crap' drivers as you so eloquently put it? I'd think not. But, wait. I'm a 'Na$crap' fan and obviously don't know what I'm talking about.

So you're gonna continue to SLAM me without even knowing me because I like Nascar? That's ridiculous. That's borderline racial discrimination and profiling. I'm a fan of racing in general. And I broaden my horizons :)

Oh and you haven't gotten on my bad side by any means. I enjoy a great debate.

not to be sticking my nose in this but i think you are over reacting a little. it is clear if you know my brother he is just joking with ya Carol. Im sure if he knew you were goin to get this bent out of shape about it he wouldnt have said anything. he is right about Nascar forgetting their roots and bein all about the all mighty dollar. as for the drivers that you mentioned, yea i got respect for them for remebering where they came from and wanting to keep goin with that. i dont want to get on your bad side either. i appreciate the stuff you contribute on this site and i think you do a hell of a job.

mynameiscarol

As those of you that know me realize, I enjoy a good debate with anyone! Red Clay expressed his opinions and I expressed mine. We both had valid arguments and kept it clean and interesting. I realize he's got his opinions and I totally respect that, just as I hope (think) he respects mine.

I didn't get bent out of shape or pissed off, believe me, if I had, all of ya'll would've known it! LOL In some aspects, I agree that Nascar has a slight case of amnesia as far as where they came from, but with the driver's I mentioned along with a few more, dirt racing is rearing it's head in the world of Nascar again. I sat and had an hour long conversation with Dave Blaney when he was driving for RCR about dirt racing and I totally impressed him with what I know about dirt tracks, cars and drivers. His exact words were, "Damn, your husband is a lucky man to have you!" Why did he say that? Cus I talked about motors, set ups, birdcages, described WCS with so much detail he said he could picture it. Oh, and I wasn't into all the hype and mental retardation that people acquire when they get within 5 feet of a driver. I was just Carol talking about what I love-RACING!

I have been through a lot this year, stuff that a few of you are aware of, but most of you are not. I'm not deserting dirt racing by any means, I'm just so glad that I'm done for the year that I can barely contain myself. I look forward to '07 and pray that it's not as drama filled as this year has been for me.

JH, I can't help I use big words. Comes from that English degree and all I guess. :1219:

Marcia, I intend on having many, many, many drinks that weekend! I'll make sure that at least one is for you! Check with Jerry. He may be on the receiving end of a drunk dial before the weekend is out, LOL! :icon_drinking:

Jason, you're a sweetie. Thanks for being such a great friend!

RJ, I know you got my back sweetie, and I appreciate it.

Jerry, you da man!

Love all ya'll!!! :Wicked:

I've got a few on my phone when he was signing Randall's hat I got, along with a couple other things. Then, when he left the trailer I was back there sitting in the shade cus it was a hundred and hell, and he was there with his brother Kale. It was funny cus I had Randall on the phone talking about running that night at FMS and I was like, hey Kasey, my husband's running a late model tonight at a dirt track tonight, tell him good luck, and he did. It was cool. LOL I laughed. Then, later we saw Kale at the hotel and he was asking me about the car and where they were racing. We talked for like, 5 minutes about it. They're really cool, laid back. Remind me whenever we finallllllllllly meet face to face and I'll show you what I got. Ohh, I also have Denny Hamlin stuffing a piece of pizza in his mouth too. There's a really funny story behind that though...lol.
