Amos "Sonny" Ellis, passed away on Tuesday the 29th of August at his home. The Funeral will be held at Lancaster Funerals and Cremations Chapel in Louisburg NC at 3:00 pm. The Entombment will be at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum. Please keep the Ellis family in your thoughts and Prayers.

I did not know them but as with any death it's a hard thing to to get over.. My condolences to the family..

He was the car owner of the # 23 super stock 4 cylinder toyota that ran at King's Speedway (now called Harpers Motor Speedway), County Line Raceway, Clarys Speedway, and Schloss Speedway. Kenny Ray Deans, Blake House, and I believe Derick Francis drove the car for him. He was a very respected man that enjoyed racing, enjoyed his time with his friends and family and loved hunting. He will be greatly missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as well. May god rest your soul, Rest in Peace......

Our condolences go out to the family of "Sonny" Ellis.. He loved racing just as good if not more than any driver there is.. He has been a good friend to alot of people.. All of us at Harpers Motor Speedway wish the family well.
