I dont know her name but she was driving the #27 bomber camaro in the powderpuff race. She hit the wall coming out of turn 4 and spun around and came to an abrupt halt. Neck injury from what we could see in the stands. Hope all is well with her this A.M.

The woman's name is Brenda Hayden.

If anyone knows how to get in contact with her or the family, please let Debbie know. She called the hospital several times but could not get ahold of the family.

Debbie can be reached at 919-625-9280 or email ddirt24racing@aol.com

Just talked to Brenda, and she is at home. She was released from the hospital around 3:00 this morning. She has a bruised collar bone and a strained neck. They thought she had punctured a lung, but the CT scan came back negative. Said she was sore as **** and her powderpuff days are over, but she'll be alright. Took a wild ride and thank God she is ok.

Congrats to all the winners last night. Jami Foran did excellent in that 37. Mike Cox in the 8 sportsman(my husband), hurray! Brad Cox in the 91 mini stock (my son), you drove wonderful! Getting better every week. :05Cool: :05Cool:

Thanks for the update im glad she wasnt seriously injured. It does hurt sometimes when you hit a wall especially when it comes to an abrupt halt like that. Have had the imprint of the seatbelt shackles on my belly as well as my shoulders. Hope she makes a speedy recovery.
