I just wanted to wish the speedway good luck, hope they can manage to keep it open for a few years anyway. My father was the promoter there before the williams bought it. Lou use to help grade the track. I was in the air force at the time and only got to come to the track 2 times when they ran but I know that he loved working there and wished he could have held onto it himself. Anyway, if he was alive today I'm sure he would be happy that Lou was able to get it back open, even if only for a few years. Eric

What is the actual deal with track. As popular as it seems to be now that it is well run I was hoping it would go on for some time. Someone told me the lease was for 5 years. But what do "people" know. I know they want to develop it but why I don't understand. How many people love to live near a big prison.

Come on guys, no one has any input on the future? I bought a late model to go crate racing and went and spent the money on the shocks today to only be told Georgetown may be done again after this year. Cut the damn purse if that is what it takes. When we were their the atmosphere was electric. Not to many local tracks have that anymore. Do what it takes to keep this track going.

When the investers make a decision I'm sure an announcement will be made.

Man, I hope Georgetown isn't one and done. That would be just as horrible. The last thing Sussex County needs is MORE houses! We need some ENTERTAINMENT and that is exactly what Georgetown provides. More houses will just make the area even more boring than it has become.
I really hope they can get the track full time and keep it open. Cause if not, that would be a living nightmare.
