Robert Brooks, a big-time racing sponsor and Hooters CEO, died at his home in Myrtle Beach.
Rome: Ray Cook won the O’Reilly Southern All-Stars 50-lapper, with Randy Weaver second.
Lanier: Richey Etheridge won the 60-lap late model feature
West GA: Deborah Bennett, Kayla Cochran, and Carri Kiker won the Powder Puff races
North GA: Ronnie Johnson won the Thursday Night Thunder race & $4,000
Screven Motor Speedway: Marshall Green won the $4,000 Rebel Yell Sat., rained out after 12 laps. Henry “Hurricane” Carter won the pole and the $3,500 race in Friday’s Southern Nationals event.
Cleveland Speedway: Clint Smith won the Southern Nationals Series race
